Nadal had an arthroscopy today

"The tennis player wanted to know first-hand the reasons why he does not recover from the injury that has haunted him since the second round of the Australian Open"

I have an idea.
If you have an intelligent/non-trolling “idea” I’m all ears.

Yeah, just like Novak faked it with his elbow, losing to Hyeon Chung at AO (Rafa to freaking Mackenzie McDonald), then having an operation.

It's all part of the plan.
And like Fed faked it with his knee, losing to Hubert Hurkacz at Wimbledon, then having surgery.

so Nadal wanted them to go in and take a look...I guess we'll find out tomorrow did they do anything when they were in, or are planning something in the future

Hello everyone. As you know last night I had surgery. Everything went well and the arthroscopy was on the left psoas tendon that has kept me out of competition since January.
An old injury to the labrum of my left hip was also regularized, which will surely help the better evolution of the tendon. I want to thank doctors Marc Philippon, Jaume Vilaró and Angel Ruiz-Cotorro for their work.
I will start progressive functional rehabilitation immediately and the normal recovery process they tell me is 5 months, if all goes well.
Once again thank you for all the support you have shown me and that you show me every day. Today also on my birthday. Not in the desired or dreamed place, although THANK YOU anyway

Heal up fast, Rafa!

Wow another 6 months of recovery. That means no Nadal until 2024. Maybe he should come back on clay next year.

Rafa's face is looking like Ronaldo Nazario in this hospital pic.

It means that Rafa is looking like the best footballer of all time (in Rafa's opinion).
Republicworld.com, December 21, 2020: ¤¤ When asked to choose between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafa chose retired Brazilian footballer Ronaldo. "Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the best nowadays, but for me the best of all is Brazilian Ronaldo Luiz Nazario da Lima."¤¤

By the way, Rafa and Ronaldo Nazario have known each other since the latter played for FC Barcelona, i.e. he was a teammate of Rafa's uncle Miguel Angel Nadal.

And Ronaldo Nazario is a Rafa fan:

Yeah Ronaldo Nazario used to be known as the best striker of all time circa 2002 world cup, he was on fire. He is the original Ronaldo.

I'm glad Rafa had the surgery. He used to be terrified at the idea and missed many many months of tennis with his bad knees because he would never consider surgery but I guess Dr Cotorro convinced him that this Dr Philippon, who's supposed to be the top hip arthroscopic surgeon in the world, would fix him up. I hope he takes his time playing with Rafa Jr and getting moved into his new house and spends loads of time out on his boat and lets his hip heal properly so he can end his awesome career on a high note. Tennis misses him.

He better retire rather than further damaging his body. He is not winning slam race anyway.
Well Djokovic sure ain't winning it, with an elbow like that.... and Rune in his path.
All Nadal has to do is show up at Roland Garros next year and he wins the Slam Race.

Djokovic has got 3 more opportunities before next FO. I'd he wins 1 or 2 - it's game over for Nad. For sure Nad is not winning two more slams from this point.

I just had it done. Back hitting in 4 weeks and now running full speed at 3 months. I am sure he will have a faster recovery.
Rafa's doctor says that rushing is not a good idea.

¤¤ [Dr.]Ruiz Cotorro : “…I think he will be able to recover. Rushing is never a good idea. It’s five months, but we’re not pushing for a particular date.” …
“It’s an operation that allows you to do some things, but not others. He will be in a period of limited rehabilitation for 10 days, then he will start to work in the pool and on the bike,” Ruiz Cotorro said. “Exercise that affects the tendon must be eliminated. From there, there is a healing period, which is always determined by biology. The first six weeks will be the most important. From there, we’ll do tests and see how to continue with the recovery.”¤¤ (Source: ATP website)

I don't see how Djokovic's elbow will make it though slams, since he clearly hasn't found a solution with its continual recurrence.... whereas Nadal was just misdiagnosed, and now knows exactly what to do, so will be back next year with slam titles like always....
