I had the same think i think, I pretty much had my earlobe pulled down, even when i sleep. So much pressure and suction, really really hurt. Going to the ear doctor and getting it squirted out was one of the best before and after feelings i have experienced

I am no doctor to know how serious the ear infection is (minor or a major injury, not doubting Rafa) or how it'll affect his performance on court. I hope he recovers ASAP before RG for the big one and be 100%.

Thanks for making reference to this!!. The commentators NEVER do and I trust that the film crew avoids a lot of this extremely bizarre and disturbing ritual. Therefore as much as we do get to see it it is even more than that in the real world.

You're right, Federer got lighter balls , surface change to favor his game, only one day match (under the ozzie scorching sun), all of his 7 matches in Rod Laver (the fastest in whole Melbourn tennis complex) in order to win AO17as his 18 GS. Highly doubt that you're questioning integrity of the sport at that point.

That slightly makes up for the overall slowing down of both AO/USO over the years... if USO was Cincy speeds Fed would probably be on 7 or 8 USOs by now.

Seriously though as funny as some of these posts are, I sympathize with anybody with ear troubles. I can't fly on a plane unless I get some kind of procedure done (and I haven't had tubes put in yet), and about a month ago I had a really bad wax buildup in my ear. I actually bought stuff to cure it, but it made it a lot worse before it made it better. It was complete agony for 2 days. I couldn't get comfortable at all. Like Chadillac said, once it eventually gets flushed out is one of the best feelings ever.
