Nadal has the easiest draw in history!

Once again men's tennis shown it's true colors....Nadal frankly has had the easiest draw in history....His last two match's against the his Spanish puppets makes you want to mumble "the fix ix on!" It's just like Nascar or Formula One racing....The head of the Spanish Armada...aka Nadal will never be beaten by his army of puppets....So now he has 1 more match against an opponent he could beat with his hands tied behind his back.
Then it will be either Fed or the Joker and POOF his final Grand Slam title is his...

Men's tennis is so weak.....there's really only one guy who could beat Nadal...and that's Fed....but he's about 3 years past his prime....

We need some new blood in men's tennis...its become so predictable and boring.......

Yeah Verdasco looked terrified in A0 09...

Take off the tinfoil hat. I bet you think the CIA shot JFK...

Verdasco choked like Mama Cass on a ham sandwich in the first set...he's up a break and then double faults 2 times to let Nadal back in...
Funny how lean Nadal is now.....Can someone please explain that?

Federer's draw was definitely tougher, you cannot deny that.

Marginally. They are both got here w/o dropping sets. Fed hasn't really played like he has previously. Tom's match is entirely dependent on whether or not nole brings it. Otherwise, tom will be one more snorefest.

That they did not drop a set is hindsight, you can't use that. It's hardly marginally tougher. If you knew from the start that Nadal's draw was Verdasco followed by Youzhny, and Fed's was Soderling followed by Joker, you have to be a completely blind ********* to declare that Fed's draw was only marginally tougher.

Well lol we are making our decisions based on current information. At the start of the tourney, everyone thought Nadal had the tougher draw because he would meet Murray in the finals. Murray was supposed to be a tougher match for Rafa than Djokovic for Fed.

Steroids, and before he gets on court, he squeezes some liquid speed into his mouth. Did you see his court coverage yesterday? no matter where Nando hit the ball, Rafa was there to hit it back. That's impossible w/o drugs.

Even Brad Gilbert mentioned that last night in Verdasco-Nadal match...he asked the Macs .."..maybe he has too much respect for Nadal?"...

Everyone thought that at the start huh? Are you completely clueless? Most people did not think that at all. Murray may have been deemed to be tougher at the start but the difference between Murray and Joker pales in comparison to the difference between Sod and Verdasco.

To be honest, just thinking of a draw that's tough enough for questions like this not to be asked is frightening

"And Rafael Nadals' first round opponent is... a Portal to Hell!"

"And Roger will play... all Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!"

if "no one can beat Nadal" then any draw he gets will be easy. all a player can do is beat whatever opponents he is presented with, and so far Nadal has done so.

most ridiculous point OP made is suggesting Youzhny has no chance against Nadal...even though he has a positive h2h on hard courts and beat him at the USO already.

He meant it in the sense that Verdasco is playing like Nadal is going to get every ball no matter what. He has too much respect for Nadal's game, not Nadal himself.

But you knew that.

No i'm not, but you clearly are. No need to be disrespectful. Why don't you go back and look at threads from b4 the tourney started. okay? Then walk around calling people clueless. Also, you seem to be rather confused with this whole idea of past and present. Murray isn't here anymore, Nando and Sod blew it for themselves. We could have seen two good matches, but thanks to the wind and mental midgetry we saw nothing. As for tomorrow, whose match turns out to be tougher will depend of the joker and youzhny.

Nice, point out my disrespectfulness and follow that up with your own and contradict your own advice. Classic ********* logic.

I have checked the threads from before, most people thought Fed had the harder draw. But of course you wouldn't see that with your blind ways.

How exactly was I disrespectful? The only talk there was was of Murray, Murray Murray. Anycase, believe what you want. I have my doubts about you being new here anyway. Calling other people clueless is the classic trait of a rafa hater.

Clearly Federer's draw is easier in this situation... sheesh, cakewalk

You really have to ask? Unbelievable. See below.

It's about even through the first three rounds; no seeded players. Simon and Mathieu are both dangerous but didn't show up.

R16: Lopez (23) < Melzer (13)
QF: Verdasco [8] < Soderling (5)
SF: Youzhny (12) < Djokovic (3)
F: Federer (2) < Nadal (1) (assuming they both get through their semis)

If Fed wins, he will have beaten three of the four other top 5 players. If Nadal wins, he will have beaten one of the other four top 5 players. So it's not even close, really. I'm not saying if he wins he doesn't deserve it, just showing whose draw is easier.

Also, whoever said something hinting that the standard of draws is exclusively way too high, I agree.

Yes Murray would indeed have been a tough draw for Nadal:

But Murray > Djokovic
Soderling >>>> Verdasco
------------------------------
Fed's draw >> Nadal's draw

Actually pretty much after Murray and Nalby fell, Nadal's draw really opened up. Dasco has potential, but like I said he succumbed to being a mental midget. Soderling had a tough time with the wind. Which means as of right now both of them got here pretty easy, Nadal certainly had it easier. After gabashvili and Istomin, everyone else was a joke. Tom, I think fed will have a tougher time. Djokovic has shown signs of life in this tournament.

^^^ And that was at the start of the tourney. Based on how thing actually turned out:

Fed's draw >>>>>>>>>> Nadal's draw

Touche! The rest of my post still stands.

Nadal's US Open draw was the toughest in the history of tennis. Every player he's had to face so far is either ATP top 10 or closing in on top 10 very quickly. I hope Federer makes the final, so that Nadal has at least one relaxing match on his way to the title.

Fed has had some real easy draws in his slams. And his has been way easier than Rafa's here at the Open. Most people thought Sod was a tough draw for Fed. But that's not the case as evidenced by the h to h. The semi draw is only slightly tougher. I am positive that Fed would not have traded draws with Rafa this year.

LOL, see ledwix's post. Federer's opponents have been higher ranked.

Your name should be "SoTard".

OK I am not going to search for "ledwix's post". If you want to quote something from that post, then quote it. I'm sure it's brilliant and makes a case for Dabul being higher ranked than Stakhovsky.

By the way, I don't appreciate your writing manner or language. You must have been poorly raised.

Em are you being serious? Lol that is just ridiculous. Hardest draw in history ?!

Facing six top 10 players en route to the (admittedly easy) final? Was there a precedent in tennis history, a more difficult draw? I don't recall one. Of course, if Djokovic shows up for his semi-final match, he'll make the final and that would make it seven top-tier opponents in one tournament!

Sod could have been a toughie for fed. Lucky for fed the wind is a *******. Also the netcord. =D

There sure seem to be a lot of angry new users who are A)Strongly in support of Federer, and B) Are quite familiar with the Nadal fans already.

Makes ya think.
