Has a 1-4 record in the Slams against Fedalovic with the only win against a 38-year old Fed at the FO in tornado like conditions.

Last time Nadal beat either Federer or Djokovic in a Slam apart from the 2019 FO was at the 2014 FO. Last time Nadal beat either Federer or Djokovic outside of clay in any tournament was at the 2014 AO.

How soon do you see Nadal breaking and leading the Slam record?
It's funny how
a) you assume Federer will never win anything again where he really should've won a Slam this year and won a total of 3 in the previous 2 seasons
b) Nadal will just stroll his way to 2 Slams like it's nothing when he's 34 next year

But please start celebrating already, it'll be more fun to rub it in your face if it doesn't happen.

Wow! So you don't see Nadal breaking the Slam record!
The guy won 5 Slams in the last 3 years and reached 2 other finals. Most objective fans would think he will break the Slam record soon.

Please think about all the predictions about Nadal and Federer pre 2017.

The landscape changes every year. This isn't statistics.

Who knows. After USO 2013 it looked like Federer was done and Nadal will definitely pass him in a while. But then AO 2014 happened, and all the problems which started from it. And here we are, 6 years later, and Nadal only now managed to get closer. Nothing is a given.

Never said that but tornado like conditions definitely benefit players with less talent more than players who rely on precision.

Dude stop it. They could have given Federer a damp day with 1 set and a break lead and Nadal still would have won. It's RG not Wimbledon.

Despite that 1-4 stretch you speak of, Rafa still leads them both in the slam h2h, 10-4 vs. Federer, and 9-6 vs. Djokovic.
And 3-1 vs. Federer at the AO, and 2-1 vs. Djokovic at the US Open.
So you are valuing the 1-4 that occurred when all these guys are no longer in their prime instead of valuing the overall h2h? :)
Also the 1-4 included an AO Final where Rafa was up a break in the 5th Set, and a Wimbledon SF where Rafa lost 10-8 in the 5th Set, so not wins but extremely impressive performances by Rafa.
And the tennis world has forever been telling us that Rafa wouldn't last as long as Djokovic and Federer.....so why express surprise that he'd lose some slam matches to them in his 30s?
You should instead be kissing Rafa's feet and apologizing to him for underrating him for so long.

Federer in his entire career is lagging behind in wins vs Djokovic and Nadal.

I wonder why the same posters who claims Fed won his slams against a weak era doling out tons of stats, don't do the same for Nadal? :)
Because the current era has Djokovic and Federer in it, and they're both playing at a very high level on all surfaces :)

Nadal has done this to troll Fednatics who have been saying for years that H2H doesn't matter, only slam count does. Ironic to see how the table's turned.
:D
It is funny isnt it? Rafa is 5 years younger than Fed and one slam away. :giggle:
Wonderful times we are living in!

If you gave grades based on number of threads started, Tennis_pro bhai will likely be a 'bionic poster' in that category as well :)

If it helps people sleep better at night. OK. Nadal doesn't care, he's won slams and has competed at a high level for many years after the "experts" have said that his body wouldn't be able to last.

Sure but Nadal isn't really facing them much and when he does, he loses.

The argument Fed fans used to use when he won slams without facing Nadal, is that Nadal needed to be better against the "field", not just individual rivals. In fact, Federer's performance against the "field" was often used as evidence by his fans that Fed was better than Nadal, in spite of the lopsided H2H.

Now that Nadal since 2017 is the most consistent player against the "field" than his main individual rivals, it's a problem.

You can't make this stuff up.lol!

Nadal has nothing to prove anyway. He still owns the superior H2H in slams against Djokovic and Federer. Every slam win now past his prime is Gravy.

Its like every argument they have used is now turning against them.

I think tennispro has this kind of approach because he's had enough over the years when Rafans were consistently using the h2h argument against Federer, especially in times when it was 23-10.

But the overall h2h for Federer is still very bad. 10-20 at Slams against his two big rivals.

The surface distribution of these matches is also almost perfectly balanced now: 14 hardcourt, 8 clay, 8 grass (very close to the 50:25:25 ratio).

Maybe because he was already winning Slams in 2003 and he had to wait a few years until they catch up?

He has no obligation to lead the h2h.You can't rule the tennis for 15 years to prevent a negative h2h against younger rivals.Nobody can lead in every metric.

How many matches from the 30 in 2010-2019?

Well, Rafa has beaten Djokovic and Federer this year.
Rafa's win over Federer was the 2nd most lopsided match of their slam history.
And Rafa's win over Djokovic featured the first bagel of their rivalry-
dX3XM7B.jpg

On top of that, Rafa's win over Federer at Roland Garros, was far more convincing than Federer's win over Rafa at Wimbledon.
In fact at Wimbledon, Federer won the 1st Set in a tie-breaker, and Rafa breadsticked Federer in the 2nd Set, and Federer's best set was a 6-3.
Rafa has definitely had the better of Federer this year.
Djokovic has had the better of Rafa, but Rafa said he wasn't allowed to practice defense after his ankle surgery, so had no way of preparing for the Australian Open.....so there was never any chance of him winning the AO regardless of his offensive skills......because Rafa has always required defense and court movement to beat Djokovic......and even so, Djokovic was unable to serve up any bakery products in the AO Final :)

Your statistics are wrong. Here are the correct ones for Nadal in the 2017-19 era:

AO: four titles
FO: four titles
WI: four titles
UO: four titles

Has a 5-0 record in the Slams against Fedovic without losing a point, even though four of the matches were on lightning fast, slippery, and dangerous surfaces and unfair to Bull in many other ways, too.

Last time Nadal lost to either Federer or Djokovic in a Slam was never. Last time Nadal lost to either Federer or Djokovic outside of clay or on clay in any tournament was never.

if he was the most consistent player against the field he would be #1. He's not. Case closed.
