Nadal is going to win the AO and heres why

I actually think that both Djokovic and Federer are far better hard court players than Nadal. Both of these guys can cream Nadal on any given day on a hard court.

But the problem for Djokovic and Federer is that they have to face each other! By the time they get to nadal they will be exhausted....and thats not a good thing when facing nadal in a best of five.

Djokovic is going to let Federer win 6-1 6-1 6-1 so that at least one of them is freesh for the final.

hahahaha.

my prediction: nadal beats fed in 4 sets, nadal having beaten tsonga in 4, while fed and djoko go at it for 5 sets, in 4 1/2 hours.

Federer can not be exausted. In case you did not watch tennis for last 5 years, this is a fact. ;) Djoko can, even Nadal can - remember the trashing he got from Youzhny beg this year, in best of 3 sets final, cause of fatigue ?

yea but nadal had less than 24 hrs to recover, and it tied the longest 3 setter in history (or open era, something like that). and that was a different surface, the new stuff at the australian helps nadal.

Well he looked pretty exhausted after his match with temisvarovic or whatever the hell his name is.

no way. roger looked like he couldve gone another 5 sets after he won. he's very fit and rarely gets pushed to five, so he'll have plenty left for nadal or tsonga in the final.

Thats not what the commentators said. They actually said it was the first time they saw federer "Schvitzing"

It's pretty obvious the winner of the Federer-Djokovic match will win the tournament. Nadal has not been pushed or exposed at all. In fact Tsonga may well cause an upset tomorrow.

I think at the moment Nadal has his hands full with Mr. Tsonga. Once he's beaten him then we can see who is going to be more exhausted...

All i have to say is that when rafa is fresh....he could be unstoppable...ive watched all his matches this tourney, and i think that he is on fire...he is becoming alot better on hard court...more than people think...it doesnt matter who he plays right now...he is just going to win....thats all there is to it....and in a few months when wimbledon comes...we will all be talking about rafa possibly winning all four slams in one year....

You sure Nadal can beat Tonga?
pre-mature "pre"jaculation (diction) again. lol.
Well thats a good point. Nadal is just not that good on hards...he can lose to anyone on any given day. But this stuff is so freaking slow that Rafa looks awesome.

Maybe I should change the Post to ....."If nadal makes it to the finals then he will win".

None of the commentators said Fed looked tired or even implied it.

What the commentators did do was make a remark that it looked like Fed may have broken a sweat.
so untrue. They said he looked disheveld. They said he always looks so smooth and that this is the first time he looked like he was struggling. and they used the word "shvitzing" all over the place.

No way, how could a man break a sweat playing Tennis in the middle of an Australian summer? Why that's just impossible!

Remember that we're all over the world people. The euro-commentators can be different to the american ones who can be different to the australian ones who can be different to the australian pay-tv ones etc etc.

You guys may *both* be right in regards to what your commentators said.

On ESPN the announcers said that both players looked extremely alert right up to the end and they commented on the adrenaline in the match. They may also have noted Fed's sweating but that's about it.

Haha, but this is the best Nadal has ever done in a hard court grand slam. And he had the easiest draw you could ask for, even for a #2 seed.

To be fair, Nadal was looking good. Hadn't lost a set. Then again, the highest seed he played against was 23rd.
Yes I agree he was looking good, albeit with a very easy draw. I am shocked inexperienced Tsonga crushed him like that. Then again all 2nd week now I kept thinking Tsonga was doing great but this was the match reality hit home, first the Gasquet matchup, then the Youzhny match, then the Nadal match.

he lost..... too bad. i actually kinda wanted him to win so there would be hopefully another intense federer vs. nadal.

Well, I'm pretty sure Federer will keep up his end of the bargin. But will Nadal ever keep up his?
I think Nadal will. If he remains at #2 for a while. He almost made it this tournament but again just ran into a guy that was better in every way on the day of the match. Easy draws will come if he is the #2 player. The problem is, I think guys with his playing style have early retirement written all over them. How long before his knees don't allow him to play his game? That's the question.
