Nadal may be able to keep a top 4 seed for Us open.

Tsitsipas and thiem out of picture from WIMBLEDON haven't been able to make inroads into ranking points and rafa might just keep top 4 seed at Us open although top 2 looks unlikely but atleast top 4 ensures avoiding a potential djokovic meeting in qf and maybe a greater chance to avoid being in his half

If he recovers well, i see him only losing to Novak. Med, Tsisi and Zed can only beat him if he comes tired to their match. And recovering is a big if for him. Canada and Cincy are gonna tell us a lot about him.

Isn't he better at Us Open
Why should he worry about top 4 seed

Any decent big hitter in top 20 can beat him in 3 sets on a HC but in 5 it will remain a question to answer

I just want Nadal to come out with the fire blazing and set the ball ablaze in epic kits this summer. Would be sweet to win Canada 3 straight times.

Is it too early to start asking if he'll win the USO without dropping a set?
You think he might actually do that?
Novak's post match statement today was that he himself has never served well on any surface EVER in his career.

So the prediction of Novak serving like Sampras is becoming true.

Doesn't matter. Novak is so winning the UsOpen.
Djokovic isn't good enough to win the US Open, that's why he's only won ONE of the last FIVE.
He's finished at the US Open, while Nadal cruises to the US Open record and outright slam record.

I think he’s smart as hell. Listen to the body, heal up, let Novak burn himself out going RG-WIMBY-Olympics. Show up as fresh as he can to win what’s probably his second most favorable slam. If Novak gets bounced in an upset or by an injury or just worn out - Rafa just has to eject a nextGen or two over the top rope to win the Rumble. Even if Novak makes it thru all that Rafa could still upset him. If his approach results in 21, that’s all that matters

I really hope so. I want 1 more epic Nadal run before he declines for good.

Firstable, why did Nadal lose just 360 points from Wimbledon? Didn't he reaches the 1/2 final at 2019 ?
Also how many points have Nadal to defend before WImbledon? Didn't he won in Canada in 2019 ?
And how many Stefanos have to defend? He reached 1/2 at Cinci, and was finalist at Hamburg. But he lose early at Canada.
If Zverev have a good run at Wimbledon, and post that, Nadal maybe even end up at 5th spot.

And let's be real here. People are fast to forget. Tsitsipas didn't a single match for 2 years at grass, and he still need to adapt his style to the grass. If he was keep going, and with the matches, he may have a chance, but he get a **** hard opponent for 1st round, that also have played a lot of tournament/matches on grass already and beat him.
But that is also a bad news for Nadal and the likes. He will have full time to prepare for the upcoming HC and will wanna do great at USO.

And let's not forget that at Clay, Nadal strongest surfaces, he won in Rome and Barcelona, but he had to safe multiple match points against Shapovalov, and also saved a 1-2 match points against Tsitsipas as well. Let's not forget he lost from 2-0 lead against Tsitsipas at AO as well. Let's not forget he lost at the 1/4 in Madrid and Monte Carlo as well.
I think people are getting ahead on themselves. There is a lot of players that can beat Nadal in the upcoming HC matches, and as well at USO.
