Nadal might actually be #1 after Wimbledon

I also predicted that he would get his ass kicked in the early rounds of the last 4 Wimbledon's he entered and I was right every time.

why?
2 time champion, 3 time finalist. This is his 2nd best slam.
He reached final only to lose to Federer in his 3rd trial at Wimbledon.

If he survives 1st week, this is pretty much green clay.
Wimbledon has been packing soils layer much more compactly last 15 years or so, and thus bouncy, unless they've changed something last 4 years?

Most of the time he cheated/used gamesmanship to survive the early rounds and his luck had to run out eventually. I remember watching his 1st round match against I think Bellucci (and I think the score was 6-4 6-4 6-4 or something) and thinking he would lose early.

edit: 7-6 6-2 6-3 so maybe I just watched the 1st set. But I remember it being an unimpressive showing.

edit: Or are you asking me why I think he'll lose again this year? Because his offense still isn't effective on grass. He has improved his backhand, but he only ever did well on grass by defending and hitting passing shots. Even in his offensive peak in 2013, he got worked by Darcis easily.

He's been repeating this injury/come back process last 4-5 years, we should consider.
He always tries to get the momentum back in clay seasons.
By the end of French Open he gets exhausted.
That's why I'm saying he should put less priority on clay after La Decima.

I'm personally hoping for more of this

No he hasn't. Well, guess it depends on your definition of sweep. But winning clay isn't complete to Nadal without Barcelona.

I never said SS2 Gohan. I said Ultimate Warrior Gohan. There's at least an 4x magnitude difference (probably 6x difference).

U watch Super? #TournamentOfPowerPredictions? :p

Krillin ~= Super Saiyan Goku and wasn't instantly vaporized by SSB Goku. Does that answer your question? ;)

Are predictions really necessary? We all know what happens. Everyone in Universe 7 survives to have their tournament with Uub. That's sort of the bit that kills any suspense in Super. You knew DB was pretty predictable to begin with, but now they've got nowhere to go but show us cool and/or disappointing fights/teasers.

Also found it funny how Broly's canon remake was a background character in her first scene. The hype is dead and has been shifted to the Saiyan punk leader.

I just wanna see Toppo get his face smashed in by Vegeta, Broly 2.0 1 shot by SSB Goku (which at this point, we know won't happen), Hit vs Vegeta rematch, and Gohan and Krillin being useless (with the bonus of Gohan somehow doing his best to throw a match in usual Gohan fashion). Oh, and Buu vs the yellow guy from Universe 6 - the ultimate showdown of flubbers that can tank basically anything. At this point, I just want Vegeta to personally delete any annoying or over the top characters. I think #DBZAPredictions is more entertaining.

Hoping that Nadal takes his YE#1 challenge seriously.

This will guarantee a lot of run-ins with Federer post FO. :)

This loss did Nadal more harm than good. At this stage of the clay season anyway. Yesterday he looked virtually helpless. It's not as if he lost a tough 3 setter. It was a demoralising loss.

Doesn't make me happy, but it is the truth. Nadals invincibility this clay season was dismantled, and leading into RG this cannot be good. He should be peaking now. Not in Barcelona or Madrid.

Only the blind Nadal fans or the Fedtroll-Nadhaters think he still has the cloak of "invincibility" on clayor at least, that's what the trolls want to project. Those days are long gone, buddy. But even in his heyday, he has lost in the earlier round in Rome (2008 etc) and Hamburg/Madrid Masters (2007, 2011 etc) on his way to winning the FO. And those guaranteed winning ways at the FO are over. Don't get me wrong. He's still one of the favorites, but not anymore the guaranteed winner like before

Nadal won't be #1 after Wimbledon, that's clear for now.
He's still in the best position for #1 after the north america hard court series but if Federer actually plays a great Wimbledon (winning it, reaching the final) he might overtake Nadal before.

Yes Murray is 9390 points and Rafa at 7285.

After Wimbledon, Nadal will go to 7285 + 180(4th round) = 7465 points

After Wimbledon, Murray will atleast have 9390 - 2000 + 360(QF) = 7750 points. Nadal can't cross him now. Murray only can gain more

If Fed can get by Djoko the championship is his. I hope the SF will be epic because whoever Fed faces in the final, it won't be the spectacle that his match with Djoko will be.

Rafa will be back at #1 for sure. Mury has a ton of titles to defend post-Wimbledon.

Have you read my post? I'm not saying he's not overtaking Murray (he might do, let's wait and see) - I'm saying Federer might be first one to do so.

My post wasn't a response to yours haha. But things will be interesting if F wins Wimbly and if he does well on NA HC. Lotsa IFs.
