7-0 in matches without nadal even winning a single set (yes not a typo nadal pigeon didnt even win a set vs novak in 7 consecitive beat downs)

Nadal also benefited from a weaker draw and unfair scheduling in Rome. Nadal had an easy match Saturday afternoon, Novak had a tough match that started at 8PM. Novak has many more weeks at #1, 5 YE titles Rafa has-0, Novak has 1 more YE at #1, has 4 Wimbledon titles, Nadal has 2, Novak has 7 AO, Nadal has 1. All things considered IMO, Nadal and Novak are even in the ATG Race, so far.

Its very close granted. Had Djokovic won FO he would have overtaken Rafa. That's why that defeat to Thiem (and I think to rafa in Rome although you are right about the scheduling) will be stinging now

Nadal had 11 GS almost 10 years ago :-D
Borg only played Australian Open once (1974). As it was played on grass and he won five straight Wimbledon it is very likely he would have won many if he had played. That is why Borg's slam record is in fact deflated because he only played three slams a year.

Borg won 11 out of 21 slams starting from his first. Fed won I believe 16 of 27. Within that, in their primes, 15 of 25 and 8 of 14. Absolutely incredible to maintain the peak/prime level consecutively for as long as those guys did with the versatility to boot. It's why I have them top 2 in the open era.
