Nadal needs no new Coaching: Says Toni

G.O.A.T.
what injuries?he's had no injuries for a year now! if his knees are buggered at 27.....do you think they would be better or worse at 29?
Mate, you aren't reading my post(s) correctly, so I'm going to break it down.

Let's start with this:
yep he's not getting young he's getting old just like the rest of us,but after all the warrior like grinding and playing through injuries......do you not think the injuries would get worse with age and more wear and tear or is it logical to think they would just disappear and his form go down the **** shute?
From this, I gather that you are presenting us with two options; that we should accept that either:
  1. Injuries get worse with age and more wear and tear; or
  2. injuries would just disappear and his form will go down the **** shute [sic]
Unless he states otherwise, we can safely assume that Nadal is not injured.

Your choices are incomplete, because you have missed a third (possible) option:
  • Nadal's previous injuries may have healed, but they have finally started taking a toll on his performance despite being otherwise healthy
You're making this issue too black or white. People aren't either 100% or 0%. It's quite possible to be completely uninjured yet be physically unable to perform as well as you used to (due to previous injuries). Conversely, it is just as possible to still perform well despite being injured (barring a major injury). What you have here is a false dichotomy.

People age, they can (and usually do) get slower and weaker, even barring injury. Federer got slower and weaker despite being injury-free for most of his career, so I don't see why you find it difficult to accept that the same is happening for Nadal.
