Rafa Nadal Academy in Kuwait​


Rafa’s academy in Kuwait will host the first-ever edition of the FIP World Cup Pairs (padel) from 3 to 9 November 2025.

Kuwait was selected to host the FIP World Cup Pairs thanks to successfully hosting the Premier Padel Kuwait P1 tournament that earned the Best Professional Padel Tournament 2024 award. The tournament was held at Rafa’s academy in November.

The main court of the FIP World Cup Pairs will be located at Arena Kuwait, Rafa's academy will offer additional playing facilities.

FIP, Federación Internacional de Pádel, is the global governing body of padel.

Team Rafa won the qualifying race of the E1 Doha Grand Prix (GP) on Friday and will start Race Day (the main race) from pole position on Saturday. The team earned 3 points and received the pole position trophy.

Each E1 raceboat has a one-person crew, but each raceboat team consists of two drivers (aka pilots), a male and a female, to provide equal opportunities for both genders to participate in the sport. The results of both drivers are combined to determine the team’s result.

Rafa Nadal Academy in Kuwait​


Rafa’s academy in Kuwait hosted the Kuwait Premier Padel P1 tournament from 9 – 17 November 2024. The tournament was voted by fans as the 2024 Best Professional Padel Tournament. More than 326 thousand people participated in the vote via the official website of Padel Spain.

Premier Padel is the official global padel tour for elite players, governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP). The 2024 Premier Padel calendar included 25 tournaments in 17 countries across the world.

The academy was presented with Certificate of Appreciation for its “outstanding participation and significant contribution to the success of this prestigious sporting event” by the organizing committee of the tournament.

The second tournament of the 12th edition (the 2025 season) of the Rafa Nadal Tour ended yesterday (Sunday). It took place in Seville from 15 to 23 February. The third tournament of the RN Tour will be held in Valldoreix (in the Barcelona province) from 11 to 19 April.

Andy Roddick will meet Rafa at the latter's Zel Punta Cana hotel located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. The hotel opened its doors to the public in December 2024, but Rafa hasn't visited the hotel yet.

For the 10th year in a row, Rafa's sports centre/academy hosts TEN-PRO Global Junior Tour tennis tournaments. Two consecutive tournaments are taking place between 3 and 16 March and two will be held at the end of the year.

The opening ceremony of the first TEN-PRO tournament hosted by the sports centre/academy this year is taking place today (Sunday).



Every year, TEN-PRO organises the international TEN-PRO Global Junior Tour for young tennis talents. The target groups for this international tour are ambitious, world-class, highly talented tennis players in the U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15 and U16 age groups. Players from around the world are invited by the organisers to partcipate in the tournaments.

The 2025 TEN-PRO tour consists of 14 international tennis tournaments that are played in Europe, Africa, Australia, Middle East and the USA. Rafa - a Businessman​


According to Noticias Arecoa, a tourism newspaper in the Dominican Republic, Rafa is expected to attend the Grand Opening of the Zel Punta Cana hotel (he co-owns) on Friday, 7 March.

Zel Punta Cana, located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic, opened its doors to the public in December 2024, but its grand opening ceremony is scheduled for this month.

Zel Punta Cana is the third lifestyle hotel from the Zel brand Rafa created in cooperation with Melia Hotels International (a Spanish hotel chain heaquartered in Mallorca) at the end of 2022. The first Zel hotel opened its doors in Mallorca in June 2023 and the second – in Costa Brava (a coastal region in northeastern Spain, about 60 km /37 miles northeast of Barcelona) in July 2024. Rafa has participated in the grand opening ceremonies of both Zel hotels in Spain. Zel Punta Cana has 190 rooms, they are designed in Mediterranean style.

Last week, a company manufacturing dental prosthesis and orthodontics, marked its 20th anniversary with a special high-level conference on the premises of the sports centre. More than 140 professionals from 10 countries gathered at the company’s (Corus Ortholab, a branch of Corus) conference.
