Wow you *******s really can't see fault with Federer no matter what. Federer did nothing like that and no one has done anything to change my mind on that Fed is a good sport. You can tell just by his expressions that he is not a good loser. He starts whining about the Hawk eye, the lighting, the sun, and etc. The more he loses, the more he complains.
I can see fault, but I object when you look for fault in everything. What more do you want Federer to do? He spends more time than anyone else signing autographs for fans, he spends more time doing interviews, he does loads of charity work. I believe he even sent Rafa and James Blake cards when they were injured. Has Nadal had to deal with a defeat harder than Wimbly 08? Federer handled the situation with a lot of grace, no matter what you say. Sure, his comments in interviews can be a little frank, but what is the point of sugar-coating it? I watch Nadal interviews in English, and come away thinking that he literally hasn't said anything of substance. That isn't bad sportmanship. Its not like Fed directly insults people, and FYI, I've seen Rafa in matches refer to his opponents as SOBs, "hijo de una puta" (for instance in the AO 08 semi after a fluke-framed drop-volley from Tsonga) but I wouldn't even count that as particularly bad sportsmanship on his part. This is a sportsmanship award, and Nadal's service routine does him no favours in getting votes. If you think Nadal deserves a nomination, then why doesn't Federer?
EDIT: Bravo on dodging the question there.
