Nadal strings

Does anyone for sure what his setup on strings is ?. i'm assuming he just paints his strings to match his racket, and that he uses pro hurricane and natural gut ? .
 
I hold his racket last year a Paris: Total Duralast. Or they made him a yellow Hurricane and put it an a Duralast reel ;-) Serious: It was surely no Hurricane!
 
I have a reel of 17g and it is awesome. I reccomend it. Probably not the 15L guage though...
 
Nadal is using Hurrincane Tour, I am with Babolat and that is his new string. Gives you more spin and durability. Really nice stuff, stiff string though so be careful. Looks great with the Aero Racquet.

It is extremely obvious that he uses Duralast!

You can laugh at whatever you want, my rep just came back from the Babolat Colorado confrence and he got all the new info. I think Eric Babolat is a good source since hes owns the company! Hurricane Tour is the new string thats coming out, Nadal is currently using it. The string is yellow as well thats you think hes still using duralast. I dont have any pics but its coming out soon.

Carlos is correct people. read the news and you´ll see everyone is expecting this new string, the new hurricane.
 
no..Pro Hurricane Tour..a slighty octagonally-shaped, more elastic version of the PH available in 1,25/1.30/1.35 he started testing it in Rome (see my post on that argument)

Its out now however hurricane tour is not see through duralast is and in the pics ive seen on french and wimbly the string is see through therefore nadal uses duarlast.

Nadal has switched to the hurricane tours this year, i know this as i emailed babolat not long ago. But yes he did use the Babolat Duralast tour before the hurricane tours. has anyone tried Duralast? Is it any good?

I have. Its my primary string, it is my favorite.
 
Where did you get it? i could get it from EB*Y. Does it give good topspin and power? or just topspin? Also what tension do you have it strung at splink and on what racket?

For the past year or so I have been using a Babolat Aero Pro Drive Std, 12g of lead at 10 and 2, with Babolat Duralast 17g at 54-56lbs.

I use to use a hybrid with Hurricane 18g. I just have to say Duralast, in my opinion, is softer, gives better spin, and better feel. I'll never touch that white Hurricane junk again (sorry Hurricane fans). You have to get it on e-bay. I look forward to giving the new yellow hurricane a try, hopefully it is more similar to duralast than it is to the current hurricane.

One bad thing about duralast is that it drops tension fairly quickly.
 
I will soon restring my aero pro with duralast when i get it, i only just got my aero pro the other day becaus ethe aero pro i had before snapped after a years of use. Snapped from stress fracture. New hurricanes look good.

I am also new to lead tape, i would like to make my racket slightly heavier for more control and power (i think). Where do you suggest i put it and how much? Also how do you put it on? thanks again
 
i have a reel of duralast and its bad on its own because u cant have it at a high tension but it is good in a hybrid with razor hi-life.

nadal does not use tour-hurricane it is just for babolat do try and make money on hurricane because everyone noes he uses duralast like brucie said duralast is see through and tour isnt and nadals strings are see through it is all just a big scam
 
ahh right ok, we'll see in september... Anyway does it really matter what string he uses? If you get his strings doesnt mean your gonna play like rafa does it?

Anyway... What tension do you guys string your racket at? (especially people with aero pro's)

How or Where Do you find this Hurricane Tour String? I can't find it on **** or TW.
 
OK guys I saw Nadal's racquet today at the masters series Toronto, in the stringing room, as ive said before I was pretty sure he was using Pro Hurricane Tour and it is confirmed now.

Nice one kid, i got 2 sets of it, im gonna re-string soon, you've played with it right? What tension and how did it play?

No I dont use lead tape but if you want to know how Nadal does as I held his racquet today, he has lead at three and nine, better for stability.
 
Nadal has to lead tape stock APD otherwise no way he can hit such shots. I mean stock isn't great for control without adding more weight. Someone who is above 4.5 and hit hard can understand..
