Nadal Suit Verdict Tomorrow

He sued for 100,00 to donate to charity and was awarded 10,000. It would be a nice gesture if he made up the difference himself.

Rafa filed a lawsuit against Mrs. Roselyne because she made a defamatory statement on French TV, not to get richer by suing her. He showed mercy to her by not destroying her financially.

Except he didn't do it as a kid and his list of mannerisms has grown long as his career progressed.

He also will cut those immediately as soon as the time limit is strictly enforced, which shows why they are there: 1) to build pressure on his opponents by keeping them waiting in his chosen time ( main reason) and to get a breather, because often his only tactic is to run and moonball everything back.

But it is good that there are people that can put a positive spin on a practice otherwise known as gamesmanship.

The post quoted (above) is yet another proof that Fedfans are making up stories about Rafa.

So France has 10K to share? How exciting! Plus the 1 million to hire the French lawyers.

One million to the French lawyers? For what?? They only needed to check the results of doping tests in spring 2012.

Marca, July 6, 2017: "According to Maisonneuve, the matter could be resolved in half a day once it is finally addressed in court."

If the only expenditure that Nadal had for lawyers was the 2000 euros (unless those are legal fees paid to the french state for the court administration) those were some cheap *ss lawyers, I can tell you that.

Even if they had to do only what you claim, and I am positive that there is a little bit of additional work beyond that.

Nadal doesn't care about thousands or even millions of dollars. What matters is the court said Bachelot was guilty. Nadal was vindicated.

Funnily enough, Nadal's "best" defense was to release his medical record, which basically proves that Bachelot is right. Of course, it's all legal stuff (stem cells, etc.), like all professional cyclists are suffering from asthma, poor guys (and gals). :D

No worries, though, he'll win. ATP anti-doping protocol will remain as strong and as reliable as ever. ;)

When/where did he release his medical records. Can you send me a cite? I missed it. Thanks.

BTW, @merlinpinpin hasn't understood that the conclusion Mrs. Roselyne arrived at applies to his/her beloved Fed, too (" When you see a tennis player who stops playing for long months, it is because he has tested positive and because they are covering it up”).

Whoever translated that doesn’t know the difference between economic and economical. Makes you wonder how accurate any of it is, especially when you are trying to get a feel for the emotive force of the judgement

Replace it with the word 'money' and you don't have to wonder anymore.

Here is English text in The Guardian:
“The motivation, as I have always said, was not financial. As the tribunal considered there has been wrongdoing and the sentence recognises the right to damages. The compensation will be paid back in full to an non-governmental organisation or foundation in France.”

Here is the statement in Spanish:

Awesome. He should sue the haters who spout the same nonsense online too. Hell, suing even one of the would probably be enough.

I guess when a thief buys something with stolen money it's also HIS own money..
Man, seriously, are you an idiot?.

Anybody knows you can't usually prove a negative, except in mutually-exclusive predicates. I could make a thousand disgusting claims about you, and you would be unable to prove wrong every one of them.
Not "anybody" knows that. Idiots don't know it.

Batchelot won't be flapping her gums about Nadal anytime soon. :D
She's, at least, €12.5k out of pocket because that does not include her own legal costs. I'm sure that will make a dent in her bank account. All she needed to do was retract her statement and publicly apologise to Rafa instead of going to court about something for which she had no justification whatsoever.
