nadal to not drop a set at Wimbledon

last year, i believed he dropped a set to Soderling and 2 sets to Haase and Petzschner each.

this year, he will not drop a set, as i believe the gap is even wider. the guys a beast on green clay. gives you nothing.

no question he will win 100% of his matches imo

 I predict this thread will end up like Fedace's "Roger will not get past the second round" thread. Burned in flames.

Yeah, OK, I mainly agree with this BUT if there's ever any player who warrants a crazy prediction like this - it's Nadal, on grass.

Not saying it's going to happen.

Just totally going to bump this thread if it does.

What do you mean you're not saying it's going to happen? You said exactly that in your first poast!

Relax guys, Sentinel's thread is just a mockery of this thread of Nadal not dropping a set during the clay court season.

I found this thread to be funny already haha,

Ralph not lot be broken on serve until the semi finals.

You heard it here first.

(Sentinel, you need some competition) ;)

I got a better one...

Ralph will not drop a single game throughout the championships!

He is going to bagel his way to the title

I agree. Except if God-mode Murrya (copyright TMF) shows up, Ralph might win no more than 3 games.

the hatred on this board for nadal is so widespread whether it's direct or indirect (as in this thread). Oh yes it's veiled in "humour" and mocking tones like most posts here, but underlying it is such an intnense dislike the majority has for Nadal and anyone who dares to show even mildly enthusiastic support for him.

He will obviously lose sets. The year he played his best grass tennis (2008), he came the closest to not losing any sets. He's not near that level this year and it'll depend on the draw. Big servers will trouble him the first week and he's likely to lose a few tiebreaks. The no tiebreak fifth set favors him. I am rooting either for Murray or Nadal to take the title. Only fed is likely to win w/o losing a set as he has the serve for it, but likely that he'll drop one somewhere.

I only usually read, but i just got tired of the constant mocking. Sorry about that - back to regular programming.

Did he reach 7 finals in a row in 2008? Didn't think so,he's playing by far the best tennis of his career. He would have made a clean sweep of clay season if not for peak Novak.

Really? Wasn't Nadal losing to weak era bums like Ljubicic and Roddick and IW/Miami last year? Must have been playing pretty horrible for those kind of accidents to happen.

We both know Ralph started to find to his former self since MC.
This was incredibly important win... Since then he was awesome.

Fred'll definitely drop serve, he's known for lapses. Thanks also for rooting for Murray, we're really hoping he gets his first slam soon.

Sorry if you think this is hatred veiled in humour, clearly you haven't been on this board for long. Anyway...

Sent, your love for Ralph leading you to a ridiculous dimension.

BTW where is Halba and Mun?
Given current form, I don't see Rafa dropping any sets till at least the semis. But frankly, I don't see Andy taking a set off him.

Only Fed could steal one set, if he reaches the final at all.

Wow, blast from the past.

For the record, 2011 Nadal lost 3 sets (to Delpo, Fish and Murray) on the way to the Wimbledon final, which he convincingly lost to peak Djokovic 2.0, despite going in as a slight favorite due to his superior grass performance in the past.

Did u make this prediction b4 ore after the news of the end of the Sewretchejira? Now that he's back there's no need to usurp his place as worst prognosticator on the board!

The scaring factor is this could be true. However if Fed beats Nadal in final, that would be cherry on the cake.

Heheh, yeah, either that one or a similar one, thanks! But I think I remember someone did photoshop it over an Opportunity in Mars picture and used it as an avatar? :D

As the esteemed OP was saying. Rarely gets it wrong.

Nadal nada sets dropped in three rounds.
He has played John Milquetoast, Donald Duck and a boy named Karen KhUEchanov. There's a certain fella out West who could probably win those matches while serving bagels.

Now it starts to get a bit tougher. If he straight sets Muller and then probably Red Hot Cilic Pepper, the record is possible...Ben Wa may disaPaire.

Nadal has improved since the AO. He is playing from another planet.

But in fairness, Nadal always plays from another planet on clay. He hasn't faced any quality opponent on grass yet. Let's wait and see how he does against someone like Cilic or Murray on grass. I think he will mow them both over, but we'll see.
