REPORT: RAFAEL NADAL WILL MISS WIMBLEDON, TO TAKE BREAK FOLLOWING ROLAND GARROS
The 21-time major champion has attempted to maintain a judicious schedule, one that would definitively rule him out of the hunt for a Calendar Year Grand Slam.
Rafael Nadal may find himself halfway to a Calendar Year Grand Slam after Sunday’s Roland Garros final, but the 21-time major champion will reportedly forgo the Wimbledon Championships as part of a longer break to reset his body.
Nadal made the announcement following his semifinal victory over Alexander Zverev, having led 7-6 (8), 6-6 when the No. 3 seeded-Zverev incurred an acute ankle injury that forced his retirement.

This is bad news for Tennis. Nadal would have been a title contender and the strongest challenger to Novak at Wimbledon, without Medvedev. Now Nadal hasn't played at grass for more than 3 years.
Will Nadal even play UsOpen 2022?
