Dude wth

Nole on one leg might have won but so close to Olympics he didn't risk
Dude wth.

Nadal with a bandage on the thigh might play the doubles, but playing singles may be risking too much.

Playing doubles but withdrawing from singles it's quite common (Murray did it at W 2024) and players do it all the time due to doubles being less physically demanding.

Of course it’s still Noval who will have to do the dirty work and have the role of the villain who will come out Nadal  Novak will be booed again.

Looks like Djokovic is going to have to face the music, as his supporter's frantic prayers went unanswered...
"Nadal, a two-time gold medallist (2008 Beijing singles, 2016 Rio doubles w/ Marc Lopez), played the entirety of the one-hour, 47-minute match with his upper right leg taped, but the lefty showed no signs of hindered movement."
30-30 H2H incoming...

I mean there's worse way to go out than his biggest rival putting him down for good. If he ducks Nole and still hangs around it's only a matter of when, he willl get a much worse and humiliating send off.

Oh and he's absolutely ducking him. You have to be in complete denial to say otherwise

You wish Nadal would withdraw, because you know its Rafa Garros.
And nobody has faced his rival more than Nadal... about to be 30-30.

I would love nothing more than for him to play, take his beating like a man and who knows maybe he has a little bit of magic left and he actually beats Novak. I will never underestimate him but the withdrawing thing is the coward's way out

According this article lot of people think that Nadal is casting doubt about his singles participation due to physical issues as he would have to potentially face Djokovic in the second round .

I have to say it's a bit weird for Rafa to play doubles but not singles citing physical problems.

Thoughts?

I guess he changed his mind.

Are you trying to avoid common sense?
