Nadal vs Borg on hard courts

Then Djokovic's loss to Chung also counts when looking at the numbers. Right?

Yes. It does.

They all count, they are all reflected in the numbers. All of Federer's, Nadal's and Djokovic's losses are just as legit as when they are 100%. If you step on court, it counts.

Don't you count Djokovic's loss to Nadal when he was injured at Wimbledon 07 in the H2H slam count? I am sure you do.

Don't forget their meeting at Roland Garros in 06! Very unfortunate for Novak to retire there as he was in full control of that match. ;)

LOL - Sure, why not? He was in control, right? ;)

3 US opens puts Nadal in GOAT territory on hard, it is that simple.
How can it be "GOAT territory":unsure::unsure::unsure: ...when Connors has double that amount of USO's and he has them on three different surfaces? How about Pete's 5 USO's or Roger's 5 straight USO's?

Nadal is better by a small margin.
Borg made 3/4 USO finals on HC.
Unfortunate not to win one (peak Connors+peak Mac+injury in 78+death threat in 81)

Federer did not beat any GOAT contender to win his 5. Baby Djokovic doesnt count

How would Borg have fared on hard court if he could see the ball? It might be self serving but Borg attributed his relative lack of success at the USO to difficulty with reflection from the lights (I think he wore contact lenses) not a problem with the surface. It seems plausible given he won 6FO and 5 Wimbledons that it was something other than a surface problem that stopped him at the USO.
yes, that's exactly what i was going to bring up. Borg was always complaining about the lights. i think that's actually the bigger issue, rather than
the surface.
