lol, has anyone even watched Borg? Just watch the Borg Lendl FO final for comparison. Barely move, points that go over a minute and they don’t even sweat. Nadal would obliterate Borg

Thinking this way, 40 years for now the best clay court player will be much better than Nadal and would obliterate him in a mathup, not to mention that any player who wins 10 slams at that point will be a much better player than the BIG3 and all this because tennis evolves

Nadal did face Federer and Djokovic on clay. Much better than any competition Borg faced.

Federer is not a good player on clay. So it was only really Djokovic for Nadal and the rest of the field extremely weak for most of his career. It must much harder for Borg.

Out of all the hypothetical cross era matches, this would be my go to pick. Borg was my dad’s favorite player and the first match he ever showed me was the 1980 Wimby F. Fun fact, Borg’s speed and hair is partially where my username comes from

Peak for peak I think it goes 5 sets. Borg’s smaller frame and ridiculous conditioning program gives him the slight edge in endurance IMO, but RAFA’s superior firepower (particularly off the FH wing) gives him the edge in ending points. Whether that be through forcing errors or hitting winners I think that’d be the difference maker.

RAFA in 5 after 12 hours on court. Eat your hearts out Isner and Mahut

Hard disagree.Watch the 2006 Rome Final, the 2007 Roland Garros Final or the 2011 RG SF and tell me with a straight face that Federer is not a good clay court player.

Federer is not good player compared to Lendl And Wilander and Borg and Nadal. He has 5 RG finals, probably top 5 of open era.

Borg had no one to challenge. Lendl in 81 was starting and mentally not there. If you consider that then you have to consider Djokovic in 2008. He pushed Nadal in 3 sets in Hamburg I guess and was already a grand slam champion unlike Lendl.
