Yeah...its a conspiracy...they continually put journeymen in his draw to beat him
That made me spill my green tea. From 2012 to 2015 he lost to players ranked outside the top 100, so what does it need to be for it not to be a conspiracy? 6 walkovers into the final, with a Fedovic semi?
Poll time!
If Kyrgios plays Nadal, how many underarm serves will be attempted*?
(*if Nadal does it, it counts too)
I say 4.
Which important guys were notorious for having that kind of personal rivalry back then? I often rewatch old matches and know a lot about past results, but not much about such stuff (or at least not more than a few rumours about who disliked each other). The animosity that these two have towards each other makes things far more interesting. This type of drama was far more common 30 years ago.

Nadal gets regularly screwed at Wimbledon.... Par for the course
Kyrgios is 2-0 up in head to head against Djokovic. (And Djokovic played well in their Acapulco match, except for the last game-Kyrgios simply was serving great. In their IW meeting he was poor though). He also pushed Federer in almost all meetings and even beat him once.
The match in Stuttgart was very close.Roger Federer versus Nickolas Kyrgious recent Head to Head Record..
2018 laver cup RR
RF def. NK 6-3 6-2
2018 USO 3R
RF def. NK 6-4 6-1 7-5
2018 Stuttgart SF
RF def. NK 6-7 6-2 6-7
He did push roger in early meetings in 2017 and 2015, and note that both of those versions of roger were much much better than 2018 Roger who just plainly smoked nick...
The thing is, Roger has found a way through.
Nick will make it. He senses blood in the water whenever there’s a chance to play Nadal.
He even admitted that in Acapulco.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the Draw to Fix Nick vs Djokovic given the most recent events? If anyone thinks draws are not fixed, here is yet another example.

Djokovic had cakewalks in USO 2018, AO 2019, RG 2019 until the semifinal, now here again. Can you just STOP trolling? I know you are a Nadal hater, but try to be reasonable for a change. Djokovic gets much more cakewalks than Nadal recently. In Wimbledon 2018 Nadal also had the toughest draw. (Unless you believe Nishikori is tougher than Del Potro)
Actually, bad publicity aside, I am rooting for Nick. I hope he can mature, give 100% focus and be able to fulfill his potential and win at least 1 GS before fading away.
I really hope Nadal crushes him. Even us Australians are sick and tired of the spoiled brat
Even a narrow Nadal win will keep me happy though
Why are you constantly spitting green tea out?
I've been drinking a lot of green tea lately, it's epic
Why not make it round 1 then? No guarantee of Nick getting through. Or Nadal. The whole thing started back in Acapulco, the comments from Nick saying Rafa is salty and Rafa saying Nick doesn't respect tennis. Then Nick disrespecting the clay season, and saying it should all be grass, and now getting to play the KOC on grass. No love lost between them, and here we are, the match is about as early as it could have been IMO.

He didn't win WTF because he hardly plays it (like 3 times in 8 years) and because it is played on indoor hardcourt. One of the main reasons Nadal has failed to ever win the WTF is due to the fact that there is no such thing as an easy draw. You have to play the best. Some of his slam draw by contrast have been laughably easy.
Watch Rafa work him out in straights
Watch Rafa work him out in straights
He couldn’t even push Cilic in Hurlingham.
Nadal vs Kyrgios on week 1 Wimbledon grass? Lol. He’s toast if Nick plays decently.

And no such hing as an easy draw? Yeah, tell me with a straight face that Djokovic's 2014 draw or Dimitrov's 2017 draw were not easy.
Nadal/Nick II will be like Nadal/Rosol II
Nadal/Nick II will be like Nadal/Rosol II
He retied after one match in 2017 as well.He played it 8 times and has a 16-13 record there, which is beyond pathetic, really. He missed it in 2005 and 2008 when he was "still learning to play on HC's" (which is apparently a completely different sport), in 2012 when he shut down the season after getting Rosoled, in 2014 after he was losing left and right on grass and HC, in 2016 where he went 10-6 on HC with losses to DelPo, Nishi, Pouille, Coric, Dimitrov and Troicki.
If anything, he saved himself from being in the negative W/L record with all those "injuries". The only remote chance of actually contesting the WTF was probably 2018, but I don't think he'd do any better than the SF anyways.

In fact, Federer was the one with a challenger draw at the AO 2018, as he won the title without facing Nadal or Djokovic, and faced Gasquet, old Berdych and an injured Chung (LOL). At RG 2019, Nadal faced the strongest clay players excluding Djokovic (Goffin, Federer and Thiem). Federer is the 5th best clay player at the moment, only behind Thiem, Djokovic and Goffin. So Nadal's RG 2019 draw was perfectly normal. This is justice after the challenger draws Rafa had at USO17, AO18 and RG19.
Lol, I like how Nadal facing Cilic in AO 2018 1/4 finals is a challenger draw but Federer facing him in the final is a very hard draw. The Wimbledon 2019 draw is not "justice". It is borderline unfair and extremelly unlucky. The most brutal draw in the history of tennis.
Nadal has to face before the SF 4 top players:
1. Kyrgios
2. Tsonga (almost defeated Federer at Halle and many Fed fans were saying they Don't want Tsonga in their draw)
3. Cilic (Wimbledon finalist, has played 5 setters at Wimbledon with Federer and Djokovic)
4. Querrey (Eastbourne 2019 champion, defeated Djokovic at Wimbleodn 2016).
Meanwhile, Federer has to face nobody before the SF. It is an issult to objectivity to say that "it is fair".
Nadal will face Querrey in the QF, who will defeat Thiem in the first round.Good on grass? Thiem is a Wimbledon favorite to be fair.

Nothing to laugh about. Querrey is the 2019 Eastbourne champion and defeated Djokovic at Wimbledon 2016.
(Assuming Nadal reaches the QF, which is extremelly unlikely, given his draw from hell with Kyrgios, Tsonga and Cilic.)

It's a 1 in 16 chance of NK meeting a top 4 seed in the second round (albeit a simplistic calculation). It's a 1 in 2 chance of NK flipping his s*#t and storming out over something inconsequential before then. Not the wisest fixed draw of all time.I guess they didn't want to make THAT obvious, even though it already is.
This is justice after the challenger draws Rafa had at USO17, AO18 and RG19.
What mighty opponents did Federer face at AO 2018? Struff, Gaschoke, Fucovic, Berdick, Chung before facing Cilic in the final? Whereas Nadal faced Cilic in the QF then would have to face Federer in the final thus making his draw harder than Federer's.
A lot of people are sleeping on Tsonga. He lost nail biters to Fed and Raonic in the tuneups. I would also bet on him to take Nadal down despite him being on the decline.
