Sixth Game, Second Set, Tommy Robredo to serve. Robredo running from side-to-side chasing the return but Robredos return is wide (0-15) Robredo takes the next point (15-15) Robredo takes the following point with a winner (30-15) But back comes Nadal taking the next point on serve with the return (30-30) Good rally which Robredo takes again very quick getting to the ball hits the winner (40-30) Robredo takes the game in the next point to trail 4-2 second set.
 
Seventh Game, Second Set. Rafael Nadal to serve. Long rally between the two of them ends with an error from Robredo as the ball hits the net (15-0) Robredos return is just slightly long (30-0) Great winner from Nadal to take the next point on serve (40-0) Nadal takes the game to love and is 5-2 and a set up.

Robredo saves the first point (15-40) Robredo forces an error from Nadal with a one-handed backhand to save the second match point (30-40) Robredo showing a lot of fight saving the third match point with the winner were at Deuce. Nadal forces another error from Robredo as the ball flies into the net on the return Match point number four for Nadal. This time converts during a short rally between the two Robredo hits the ball long and out Nadal wins 7-6 (2) 6-2 comtable victory for Nadal.
 
ok... tommy, even if you managed to win 6 games in the 1st set, you failed at your mission. you disappointed me ! :(

so now, it's up to davydenko to finish the job and clean the masters cup from this bottle maniac topspinmonkey ! :p

None of them is a claycourter, however you have some good examples of hardcourters in the MC.
Robredo beat Tursunov and Blake (3-0) in the Australian Open and was a semifinalist in Cincinnati and Paris (both MS), just to refresh your memory.
I want to see some American or some of those called all-courters getting the same results on clay than Robredo got on hardcourts, then I will say they´re not hardcourters.

Good. Robedo shouldn't even be in Shanghai, and I didn't expect Blake to do so well, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the direct eliminations.

Here's an interesting stat- Federer, in his Tennis Master's Cup finals, has always played the person who finished second to him in the round robin. Never the first place finisher frmo the other group.
 
Nadal played with more confidence as the match went on - the missed easy volley sitter for Robredo to get the rebreak in the 3rd was the decider. It was obvious he wouldn't come back after that.

Well, a Roddick vs Blake SF is very likely to happen - Roddick has a good chance to be in the final.
Let's see if Federer has to play Nadal or Davydnko in the semis.

interesting stat, indeed... in fact in the last 10 years, the final wasn't a RR replay only 3 times : 1997, 1998 and 2002 !

Haha, yeah. I do indeed stand corrected. "Hey, look at this biceps." "Hey, look at these biceps."
 
Chinese are very facinated with those biceps cause they don't have one and they are all skinny. I think New chain of Gold's Gym could make a killing there, could profit billions.........

Looks like Rafa has alienated his countrymen. Professional jealously? Or has his poor sportsmanship rubbed even his closest peers raw?

Raphael owns Robredo. If Robredo would ever beat Rafa this was the surface but Nadal is a beast. He attacked Robredo and took it early which is not his strong point but it worked today.
