Now that the silent ban has been lifted, how many games does the hyphenator get?
LOL...hyphenated bagels are yum yum!
Seven is my guess...maybe 7-5, 6-2.
The question is: will this bub also be afraid to win? The last bub sure was!
Carefully, Daniel is a pretty good clay court player with e decent serve. There might be some fight
Lol, what have I started... I say 6-7 games. 6-4 6-2/3
Sounds like a description of Ferrer...okay, I'll up my ante to 9 games, 7-5, 6-4.
What time does it start?
4pm New York time (in half an hour)
Half an hour helps thanks
I can't wait to see Nadal back in action today. Djokovic should be quaking in his boots at the sight of Nadal back on clay. Looks like Nadal is going to win his 12th slam, an 8th RolandGarros title, be 59-1 at RolandGarros (assuming no walkovers, which has never happened to Nadal at RolandGarros). And Nadal will break the Borg/Sampras/federer/Nadal tie of winning 1 slam per year for 8 consecutive years, by winning a slam for the 9th consecutive year.
Nadal also met Daniel Gimeno-Traver at Barcelona2011, where Nadal won 6-1 6-1.
Isn't Rafa supposed to be playing now? Was his match scheduled for 6p VDM time?
Nadal is on-court now. Ready to destroy another player.
Nadal is looking really good in the warm-up. Gimeno-Traver is visibly nervous... as any player should be right now.
I hope he plays a bit better today. Im watching from a stream.
Nadal has said he is playing with no expectations and expects to lose. But judging from Nadal's first match, he is improving very quickly (he is one of the quickest learners in the game, learning how to beat federer and show balls against him since Miami2004 and probably earlier if they had met before then). I wouldn't be surprised if Gimeno-Traver only got 2 games today, just like during Barcelona2011.
Nadal scratched his pants back already and it is only the first game. It is a sign that bub is in big trouble today.
Wow, Nadal is already looking really dominant. 4-1 in points so far, Gimeno-Traver looks helpless.
Good first game. I like that he's playing faster between points too.
Further proof that Nadal is an extremely adaptable champion (and let's not forget that Nadal won the Channel Slam TWICE in 2008 and 2010). I can't wait to see him do it again in 2013...
Nadal has 0-30 in Gimeno-Traver's first service game. Not looking good for Gimeno-Traver...
Nadal breaks for 2-0. Nadal is looking even better than in his first match. Scary.
gimeno traver sucks..
Seems to be playing better already 2-0
Nadal can make any player look bad. See federer in 18 or their 28 matches. (And 8 of their 10 slam matches.)
Nadal looks like he's standing further inside the baseline than usual.
Nadal's inside-out forehand has definitely improved since last match. Djokovic isn't going to like this Nadal...
3-0 for Nadal. Can Gimeno-Traver win more than 2 games against Nadal on clay?
Let's play a game. From now on NO ONE shall post in this thread and all you will see is 30 consecutive NSK posts.
Rafito looking better but still a bit tentative. Normal though.
This is more the nadal I expected so see in the first match, that said traver is still afraid to play him, no first serves in and not moving nadal much. If he keeps playing like this he will be ot in less than an hour.
Love how Nadal runs back into the court and punishes Gimeno-Traver for TRYING to pull Nadal off-court. That's what you get.
Have to agree here this guy will rip djoker on clay, the second bet would be federer on a good day
Nadal's forehand down the line is much better than in his first match at Vina del Mar, when he was missing it more often.
Gimeno-Traver holds. Will he be able to do it again?
Please, seriously. Stop trolling quite so much. Some people might want to halfway enjoy this thread.
Gimeno-Traver is playing better...
Nadal holds for 4-1...
Nadals legs still work then.
Great point, shame Nadal couldn't win it. When Nadal improves some more, he'll be getting those balls back more often.
Nadal beat Gimeno-Traver 6-1 6-1 at Barcelona2011. Will Vina del Mar2013 be the same story?
For real. That has to be a girl posting all that stuff lol. If not, then I don't know what to say.
Nadal in a gay purple shirt (for the fed fans)
Great point from 'Fito there
Nadal leads 5-1 and serving. Will Gimeno-Traver be beaten 6-1 6-1 again, like Nadal beat him in Barcelona2011?
I am sorry, but it will be 6-1 6-0.
This just has to be a girl posting all this stuff? Gotta be. If so, then you get a pass.
