They always do if there is such thing. People there finally learn to embrace their greatest champion after all those years, about organizers i don't think so if they really rig..Damn RG did dirty Rafa.
This is the surest sign that the draw is not rigged. No way RG organizers want Nadal out in the first round in Rafa's last RG.They always do if there is such thing. If memory serves, David Ferrer was retired by Alexander Zverev at the 2019 Mutua Madrid Open. This is the surest sign that the draw is not rigged. No way RG organizers want Nadal out in the first round in Rafa's last RG.
Maybe, but if you follow Nadal you will see RG is not kind to him at all even in things they control. This is the surest sign that the draw is not rigged. No way RG organizers want Nadal out in the first round in Rafa's last RG.
Will just make it all the more epic when he wins again anyway. So Nadal is facing the most in form player heading into RG, and the guy who battled him hard two years ago when he was in much better shape.
Zverev wins straight sets. No shame in that though. Nadal will always be clay goat. It’s probably better for Nadal anyways. The deeper he goes he could do irreparable damage and be in pain the rest of his days who knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was addicted to pain meds like oxys or Vics already with all his body has been through
IF Z can't win this match, he will look very foolish.I guess it's time for Z to get his revenge for 2022.
Imagine he beats Zverev in an epic and then cannot recover, only to lose meekly to...

I can easily see something like this happening.Imagine he beats Zverev in an epic and then cannot recover, only to lose meekly to...

Just beating or losing to Zverev would be an admirable exit for RafaI can easily see something like this happening.
It’s just the way aging works. You can still bring the high level, but you can’t recover as fast afterward.
NoPeople overestimate Zverev because of his win in Rome with a garbage draw. I can easily see that Nadal will beat him. Zverev hasn't beaten him on slow clay yet. As Nadal said, he wouldn’t have come to RG if he wasn’t ready to go far.
Nadal should be good for a setZverev wins straight sets. No shame in that though. Nadal will always be clay goat. It’s probably better for Nadal anyways. What is this coming from Djokovic fans. He is still playing against Nadal in RG. It's not the end of the world for either of them. Would you still say same if Nadal somehow wins this then goes onto win against other top players or all.No
People don't need to estimate Zverev just based on Rome draw.
He was in 3 straight rg semifinals.
2021 - lost in 5 set to tsitsipas. He could just as easily be in final.
2022 - beat Alcaraz who was second favorite and then lost to Nadal in controversial match.
2023 - while playing like a mug before RG, he reached semis here.
If Zverev does lose to Nadal who is playing at 50% then I don't know if there will be any future for him. He is a choker but he would need to choke gigantic amount to lose to Nadal who is playing at 50%. If Nadal was even playing like 2015 I would think Zverev can choke. But 2024 Nadal is far worse than 2015.
Yes. I have some red lines. What is this coming from Djokovic fans. He is still playing against Nadal in RG. It's not the end of the world for either of them. Would you still say same if Nadal somehow wins this then goes onto win against other top players or all.
Your red line is not see again Nadal winning RG right?Yes. I have some red lines.
I had simple vision for Nadal to even have chance at rg.Your red line is not see again Nadal winning RG right?
There are rumors about a possible withdrawal from Nadal
you won’t be sad to see the last of Rafa? After the big 3 it’s hard for me to get excited for tennis the matches don’t carry the same weight plus the new guys have no personalityYes. I have some red lines.

Yes shame it’s not like a deeper run like I was thinking it’s some 3rd round epic with a seeded player but it’s a fitting opponent in terms of Zed coming full circle and maybe conquering his own demons in the processAll I wanted was Rafa to have a great sendoff. He is 38 so I won't be so sad. Especially since he hasn't even played much in last 2 years. It's similar to Roger in 2022.
I am very disappointed as I wanted to see Rafa keep going farther and farther in RG. Maybe a semis vs Alcaraz.
If Zverev was remotely likeable then ok. But I have zero sympathies for him. Like @Tennisfan339 just said, he is absolute loser of a player.Yes shame it’s not like a deeper run like I was thinking it’s some 3rd round epic with a seeded player but it’s a fitting opponent in terms of Zed coming full circle and maybe conquering his own demons in the process
Honestly, Nadal beating a bunch of mugs and then rolling over to the first top guy like Fed at Wimb 2021 would do him no good.So Rafa is facing probably the most in form player right now. What is more he is facing a player who is able to deal with Rafa's high topspin forehand exceptionally well...
In a nutshell absolutely nightmare matchup for Rafa in R1...
Ehhh don't know what to say honestly. At least it will be nice to see Rafa once again during RG. Even if it is gonna last for just one round.
