It would certainly be a huge shock if PCB caused an upset. It's very rare to see any of the Big 3 lose to their fellow countrymen, especially in a major.

Spanish speaking players bend right on over every time they play Ned

Its the most predictable thing in sports

It would be worth betting everything on it if there was any payout at all

I'd take Nadal to upset PCB. It's gonna take a huge effort though - Rafa in 5 I reckon.

I wouldn't take Nadal over Berrettini though. That's one man who he can never surprise.

Not always though. Ferrer beat Nadal 2 times at a Slam. Verdasco did it in Australia in 2016.

But Nadal will win this match, there's no doubt for me.

I don't get the impression that PCB is up for the task, even if Nadal is having an off day.
Yeah, the only way PCB could get a win here is if Rafa retires from injury. He just has no weapons to hurt Nadal. If Nadal even loses a set against Pablo, then he’s in big trouble given the draw he has ahead of him.

If Rafa beats Busta in 3, 4 or 5 sets, then Krygios is screwed, that is for certain :)

True. I don’t see him losing that one. But if Nadal has to grind out wins against Kyrgios/Khachanov, Thiem, and Medvedev in succession... It’s looking curiously like the US Open draw that did him in in 2018. He’ll probably make the final, but he might not have the energy he needs to win it.

Spanish is a language and you can learn it and speak it regardless of your nationality. Del Potro is a Spanish speaking player. To some extent, you can put Djokovic in that category as well
I meant Djoko is dominant against both types of players. Against, Spanish speaking players and against spanish players.
