nadal will win 20+ majors, retire at 35

I think he has 3 French Opens left and a AO and/or USO left although off the clay championships will likely only have a good chance in 2018/2019. I think he will be done winning majors at 34 and will likely retire after the 2021 season.

Nadal is not winning 3 more RG.

Even one is questionable.

He might have another HC Major depending on draws and strength of his current main rivals.

I don't get how you can say that so confidently with a guy who has won all but two matches ever at the French and didn't even come close to dropping a set the entire tournament this year.

That is my opinion.

I can say it based on decades of watching pro sport.

I may be wrong, of course, but will have to look into the details to analyse what has changed.

For now I see that this year the young guns tired themselves before RG and Nadal's own generation was basically out of form , so, for him it was a unique set of circumstances that allowed him to stroll through the field.

I have noticed this with Nadal.

When his opposition is not too varied he is able to hold it for much longer on a much higher level.

That is partly the reason why so many upsets are happening to him: because he is not intelligent enough to react quickly to newly emerging patterns for his team to develop a game plan and have enough time to engrain the necessary playing patterns that counter the unexpected development.

If he is able to win RG next year with rested and healthy Djokovic, Murray, Wawa, rejuvenated and healthy Del Po and Zverev and Thiem at a better lever I may change my mind.

He destroyed Wawrinka and Thiem. Thiem's best surface is clay. Also Nadal does not lose on clay though, or at least in serious upset fashion like he can on grass or faster hard courts. Again, he has only lost in a 2009 upset and a loss in the QF to Djokovic in 2015.

Most of the players you mentioned other than Djokovic and Wawrinka are not strong clay courters or at least legitimate threats to beat Nadal at the French Open. Nadal is going to keep winning at Roland Garros for at least 2 more years.

You were wrong, as usual.

It is too bad that the usual suspects cannot read.

So, you did read, but you didn't understood that it is part of the "prediction"? Maybe focus on gloating over Nadal, no? No good for anything else.

Putting disclaimers like that just after making the assertion that "Nadal will not win 3 more RGs" is indeed the mark of a coward, I'm glad you agree.

Very sad you can no longer gloat over Federer, no? Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find someone else to fangirl over soon enough.

:p

I don't need to, as I am not in it for that. It is a kind of sad that you need to hate on Federer just when your guy apparently became a GOAT, though. You still seem to think Federer is more important than your boy, for whatever reason.

I don't hate on Federer and never have, I have the highest respect for him, great player. Just yesterday I just said in another thread that Fed can still win slams with a bit of luck on the draws. But I'm sure you're going to prove your assertion that I hate on Federer. Oh wait, you won't because you're just a sh*t talker with no balls.

Wow, the whole act here is just hating on Federer, no doubt about that. You just channel your hate towards him via the only contact point you have with him - his fanbase. Delusional VBs are just as good fun as are delusional Djoke fans. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, your secret is well kept.

Interesting that you still are harping about Federer this or that in the biggest hour of your favourite: been up for that for the last couple of days.

Yeah, laughing are your ret*rded predictions is totally hating on Federer... not.

You fail at logic even harder than you fail at predictions, buddy, and that's saying something.

My predictions are spot on. I even predicted that Nadal might get another HC major, and lo and behold, he did.

That you cannot read and your idea of "predictions" is simple guessing and fanboying is not my problem.

I'm just here waiting for you prove how I hate on Federer, mr fail at logic and predictions.

The fact that you are hard at selectively copy-pasting parts of posts with evident purpose says it without me having to do anything.

I especially liked how you added to your post some ignorance about "putting disclaimer" when that was not a disclaimer, but part of the level-headed expectations that things are not based on anything else but facts than need analysis further down the road.

Great to see you tie yourself in a knot like that, especially since you thought that you have an easy target here.

Machan ... you made a prediction that turned out to be completely wrong. Why not just admit you were wrong and move on? Instead you engage in mud slinging.

I said very confidently that Djokovic would break Federer's records and take them for good. Now the majors record is looking in doubt and I'll be happy to admit I was wrong if that's how it ends. But some people shoot their mouths and then continue debating it even when it's clear they had no clue

You are indeed an easy target, that's why we're here laughing at your stupidty. The only thing you can do is just to keep talking sh*t and digging yourself a deeper hole, it's quite embarrassing to watch frankly.

Now, are you going to prove that I hate on Federer like you claimed? Oh wait, you can't.

I can and I do as we speak. You have nothing on my post in this thread, which is why you need to copy-paste out only certain parts of it, to make yourself feel better about trying to troll,. Unsuccessfully, but it provides a certain entertainment. As I don't believe that we have interacted in recent times that sort of interest is clearly more than just stumbling upon a mere personal opinion: it goes well beyond that, which is the proof I need.

Sorry, I don't see the proof of all my Federer hate, where is it mate? Oh right, it's just you talking sh*t after being embarrassed again.

What interest are you talking about? You keep responding and embarrassing yourself further, that's the extent of my interest in you :-D

Going for a hit. Will be back in 3-4 hours. Please, keep poasting, I will read later.

Are you going to keep informing me about your daily routine from now on? That's creepy dude.

Sorry but I'm not interested, post again when you have proof of all that Federer hate I spread around.

Last week, he repeated that he has not thought about retirement.
Lol why would he? He's still winning with ease at RG and is a top contender elsewhere. No one besides Novak and maybe Fed on a very fast court can consistently give him trouble. I'd like to put Thiem up there but he's still not consistent enough.

I gave you the chance to show that you can exist in this thread without trolling. As far as I see it, you can't.

Next time try to read what you are addressing.

LMAO. I don't need anything from you, much less the chance to leave this thread. You can stop embarrassing yourself whenever, or not, I don't mind either way.

Now where's all my Federer hate? Come on, show the proof.

I didn't ask you to leave the thread, actually, quite the opposite, I left you with the hope that you will prove that you had anything else in mind outside of trolling. The fact that you literally stopped posting is the proof why you were here, and that was already evident before that. Now it got confirmed, which begs the question, what prompted you to start copy-pasting sentences out of their context? That gives directly the proof you ask for.

Nadal got 2 years left to win slams. He is not pulling a fed and last in his 30s
Nadal will never equal Federer. His max is 16 slams,
and this thread, kids, is why most of the times, you only are making yourselves look foolish when you try to predict "stone set" paths of glory.

it happened before, and since you dingbats seem to get no clue, it will continue to happen!!!

Because most of you cant grasp the concept that, in top ranking tennis, sustain levels of 2\3\4 slams per year is the ultimate challenge, and therefore, saying Player A will win the next 7612486124 slams because there is no competition is the greatest ox feces this fórum produces!

now let the "Djokovic will win the next 2030293 slams" predictions flow...
This thread is funny
He will retire with 14.
In two years everyone will be looking back at the 'Djokvic will win 17' posts and laughing at themselves. Djokovic will finish with 13-14 then decline. This thread corroborates my theory.
They broadcast some of the later rounds for IW, Miami, Canada, Cincinnati and maybe 1 or 2 others.

Accusing me of trolling because you can't prove your claims? Tsk, tsk. Now you're gonna have to prove that I'm trolling as well as my supposed Federer hate. Which of course you can't prove. And I have continued posting in other threads, not that when I post or not is any of your business. I will post at my leisure, and I couldn't give a single sh*t what you think about my posting habits.

Now please, carry on embarrassing yourself, it's entertaining.

To be fair, it was unprecedented for a player to keep winning the FO in his 30’s. And at that time (Sept 2017) Nadal only has won 2 slams in almost three and a half years.

Nadal has always said he'll keep playing tennis for as long as he can compete for the big titles.
There is no retirement age for him.
Nadal already said this year that he'd like to retire with 25 slams.
He also recently said that he may have children while on the tour.
Whereas in the earlier years he said he'd retire from tennis and then have children.
He now realizes he can win 25+, so he may outlive Xisca's fertility body clock.
And I've always said its impossible for Nadal to retire, because he loves the challenge of injuries (and he's said he loves fighting through pain), so he'll keep coming back no matter what injury is in his future....
