Quality bump @MichaelNadal

Machan ... you made a prediction that turned out to be completely wrong. Why not just admit you were wrong and move on? Instead you engage in mud slinging.

I said very confidently that Djokovic would break Federer's records and take them for good. Now the majors record is looking in doubt and I'll be happy to admit I was wrong if that's how it ends. But some people shoot their mouths and then continue debating it even when it's clear they had no clue
That dude? Admit he's wrong?

I've never seen it happen and I probably never will.

Not exactly a fan of his, but I think this will (most likely) happen. In comparison to his pitiful main rival Djokovic (who has won as many slams in the past 2 years as old man Federer), he's still in far less deterioration, he has been slowed down a little, but he's still extremely fresh and physically fit for someone of the age of 28. I've (mistakenly) counted out Nadal several times in the past, and I won't make the same mistake, he'll keep coming back from the dead till it's all over. There isn't exactly much new talent on the tour, and even then, most of the (relatively) young players aren't great on clay which is hwere nadal will continue to dominate. The "rising" stars are already 23, 24, 25 which is supposed to be their peak, it will take someone who's a teenager now to dethrone nadal. I'm predicted he wins french open every year (except maybe once) till he's 33, 34, and win maybe 1-2 slams off of clay.
It's funny how you were both very spot on with your Rafa prediction (even though he's still going at 36), your dismissal of the "rising stars" and completely off with your Djokovic judgement

I love reading through these old threads when someone bumps them to see the inaccuracy of the predictions from 8 years ago.
And usually predictions that were ridiculed for being too optimistic are already surpassed long ago and even look pessimistic compared to reality. Still strange with how much confidence some people dismissed it. If a player was let's say 5 Slams behind someone, then they said: "Do you know how far away FIVE Slams are? Are you delusional?"

In fact THEY seemed to forget that every year 4 Slams are played. And how fast are 5 years gone, and then 20 more Slams are played. I wonder who they thought could win all those if not Djokovic or Nadal (or still Federer back then). It's not like others had to upset them every once in a while, but more often than not if they should never get close to the records.

How wrong were these predictions
This thread is funny
He will retire with 14.
Poor OP. The moment he stopped counting Nadal out was exactly the moment he should have started counting Nadal out :)
Nadal is not winning 3 more RG.

Even one is questionable.

He might have another HC Major depending on draws and strength of his current main rivals.

:)
