Tough between 2010 and 2018. 2018 was very high but so was the last 4 rounds of 2010 as well. Can’t choose. I might just go with 2010 in 5 in a hypothetical matchup because he was in his physical peak then.

Such aggression to allow lackingconfidenceovic a host of BPs. Good balls to save most of them but put 2011 believeinhimselfovic there, can't bullieve oldal would fare better than 11doll did.
Goes 5 IMO or at least 4 very tight sets with Djokovic probably edging it over 2018 Nadal. Djokovic level wasn’t his best in Wimbledon 11 just good IMO.
How do you think 2008 Nadal vs Djokovic 2015 on grass goes? 5 setter?

Tough between 2010 and 2018. 2010 he struggled mightily against Haase and Petzschner (who?) but he won the title. In 2018 he did well for himself until he ran into very tough competition and losing.

What do all these runs have in common? The absence of Federer to make it to his rival (on his own home soil) and the subsequent sparing of the worldwide, historic humiliation that would have followed from being spanked thrice on grass by a "clay-courter".

Strange how this is forgotten when tales of Nadal's failure to face Federer at the Open are recounted with such rich eloquence.

Like he showed up 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 etc...

You're like a budget parody of 90's Clay at this point, right down to the self ownage with every post.
Lol don't act like you don't know full well that if Nadal had showed up Fed would have two fewer titles and runner-ups.

2010 wins here without a doubt. Not because his tennis level was higher, 2018 was equally high, but because he was so strong mentally back then. That would be what separates 2010 from 2018 in the important points.

Really? With the way Djokovic played in that final?
Fed was totally gassed in set 3 & 4, first 2 were extremely tight and a bit more clutch would've helped roger going 2-0 up in sets as well.
Unlike 2015 fed, 2008 nadal could defend (at the peak of his powers)
Unlike 2015 fed, 2008 nadal had a devastating forehand with which he could boss djok around the court
Unlike 2015 fed, 2008 nadal's BH won't break down.
Only advantage 2015 fed has is a better serve

Now you clearly underrate Djokovic 2015.Ever since Fed won his first Wimby title nobody beat him in straights there, but Novak was so close.Don't tell me that 2008 Fed was so much better than 2015 Fed because it's not the case.2008 Nadal won't win in 4 sets vs that Djokovic.

I would have said Nadal in 5 sets.
Still you make some good points. Djokovic matches up well with Nadal and his ROS would cause Nadal weaker serve some problems while Federer chipped a lot of returns vs Nadal due to his weaker return game in grass in 2008.
I think 2008 Federer/2008 Nadal and 2015 Djokovic would all be some matches with all going 5 IMO.

2008 fed was extremely consistent in slams
Had a fearhand (diminished but still better than 2015)
2008 fed could play a five setter without getting tired
2008 fed could actually defend and hit penetrating shots

2008 Rafa's extremely polarized advantage in terms of footspeed, groundstrokes, defense, ROS outweighs 2015 Roger's advantage in serve & net

The biggest difference that 2008 Federer kept fighting tooth and nail even after choking for two sets non-stop, and fought all the way to the very end, while 2015 Federer completely withered after stealing the second set.

Nasal is a great grass player. It's his bad luck that 2 of his best runs had to end in peak roger (vice versa on clay, 4 times) whereas nole had post-prime fed to deal with at wimby...
Nadal was quite amazing in the Wimbeldon 2007/2008/2010 finals not many are better than him when he plays like that. Djokovic did face a post peak Federer but the way he dealt with Federer in the 2014/15 finals was very impressive.
Nadal has been inconsistent from 2012-17 but that does not take away how well he played in his peak.

I'd rather say federer dealt with himself much worse..
And Rafa imo would've won 5 wimbys without rog

Federer fell apart in the 2015 final but he fought hard in 2014 he could have easily lost in 4. Look at the way he was serving in that match as well.
I think Nadal wins Wimbeldon 2006/2007 but it have been tough vs Novak this year. Ancic would pose trouble in Wimbeldon 2006 though.

Yes if Federer did not fight hard in 2014 that final would have ended in 4 sets just like in 2015 as well (splitting the TB and Novak routine the 2 other sets). The difference between 2014/2015 Nole in that 2 Wimbledon Final was almost non-existent.

Without Federer Nadal could have 4 or 5 Wimbledon (2006 is more of a toss-up).

On topic: 2010 > 2018 > 2011 > 2019

I think Djokovic was a little better in the 2015 final but not by a lot.
I think 2006 is a slight/moderate edge to Nadal and 2007 a very clear one. 2019 with Djokovic is a toss i might edge to Djokovic in 5 considering how well he handles the matches off clay. So yes i think at least 4.
I think 2010 edges 2018 slightly.
2011 and 2019 is a close call he had tougher competition in 2011 though i think 2011 Nadal would have had a great shot of stopping 2019 Federer.

Yes, Fed 2015 completely withered but I think that's because Djokovic put so much pressure with the return and hit deep shots consistently.More than that, I think the outcome of the 2014 final also played a role.

Other than that, I don't think that 2008 Nadal beats 2015 Djoker in 4 sets like Het said.

Sure if Nadal found a way to beat titans like Rosol, Kyrgios, Brown etc...there's no doubt he would have beaten Federer...just like this year
Lmao absolutely, since Fed power leveled up after solving the puzzle of masterminds Berdych, Tsonga, and Stahkovsky and would have definitely laid waste to Nadal... just like he did during his "prime" (lol!)

Don't you mean ROFLMAO?

Fed is 3-1 up at Wimbledon. So really have no idea where you're going with this. Keep digging though.

And Nadal is up 3-1 at AO and 5001-0 at RG and would be the same at the Open if Fed had actually shown up for his annual whip-up.

So moving the goal posts? I haven't mentioned the FO, AO or the USO  I guess that's just your way of trying to avoid shooting yourself in the foot anymore.

As you're a fan of Sampras you must be a grown man in his 30's at least - this is just kinda sad :(

Almost as sad as a GOAT candidate having a winning record against his soon-to-be replacement at one out of 3 slams they've contested. I mean don't you find it embarassing that Fed barely beat Nadal this year at his pet slam whereas Nadal has whipped Fed over and over and over and over and over and over and over again at his?
