Nadal's chances at Wimbledon?

How do you rate Nadal chances at Wimbledon , hopefully he plays but his game looks perfect for the slow grass courts of Wimbledon. Only worry will be first week and then his chances would increase considerably. Also his foot should feel least bothered on grass I feel due to that surface being least physical of all.

Very unlikely. If he plays, he to hope Felix beats Djokovic in QF, and then too nervous to play the final, so that Nadal gets a cakewalk

50% chance Djokovic wins Wimbledon

25% chance Nadal wins Wimbledon

25% chance the field wins Wimbledon

The last good performance was in 2018 and it was 4 years ago.
Semi in 2019 isn’t bad either. The mug generation is even more useless on grass than everywhere else, so if he can somehow avoid Djokovic his chances are not too bad actually.

2019 wasn't that bad, 2020 was no event, 2021 not playing.
Unlucky draw in 19 and 18. Even if he wins a marathon against Fed in the semi he’d not have been in condition for rested Djoko in the final. In 18 he went 5 sets with Delpo in a classic before Djoko’s match. Running out of steam by 8-8 in the fifth set.

No Fed and an earlier Djoko draw (assuming Djoko can’t lose outside of a Ned match) is what Nadal needs

Co-favorite with Djokovic if he plays. More people in the hunt though at Wimbledon. Rafa doesn’t seem likely to play though, no?

He's got a great chance if he plays and is healthy. Djokovic is not playing that well and a top level Djokovic is the only guy who he would be unable to beat at Wimbledon.

However, wouldn't shock me if he skips the grass season to rest his foot, especially since there's no points. It's also a surface where he could easily lose in the R16-QF round if he gets a bad draw.

I’m confused why people think Nadal is going to not play should he win RG?

CYGS on the line and triple surface slam is on the cards. He’s already won the miracle AO why not try his luck at Wimbledon where he’s been closer in recent years.

US Open is months after Wimbledon, he’ll have plenty of time to recover

Perhaps the RG SF is the last Nadal match? Such is the nature of The Foot 8-B

Seriously; I believe his chances in Wimbledon are good, because some major obstacles are now retired.

We don't know exactly how long he can last. Based on the cryptic few things he's had to say during this tournament, I suspect the foot condition is basically a ticking time bomb, and he's just trying to keep it functional until the end of this tournament. Just because he seems to be doing well physically in specific matches doesn't mean the condition can't deteriorate in the meantime, and to a point of no return, where the pain/discomfort can't be avoided. I find it very unlikely that he's thinking in terms of tournaments or even a season at this point, to me he's reduced to calculating his ability to survive the next match. He's said as much too.

I understand but grass season is weeks away. He’ll be on a massive high from 22 if he makes it without injury.

Another Wimbledon is probably the only thing left he wants to accomplish. It’s the one to put everything on the line for if you think the foot is a time bomb imo

Can't blame the draw in 2018. He lost that year due to mentality. Should have won the second set against Del Potro but choked (had a setpoint on serve and hit a double fault), then lost pretty much every big point against Djokovic. He had more than enough chances, but mentally he just wasn't there.

Yeah he can do it. He's freaking Nadal. Djokovic is really tough but has been a bit of a vulture, with the wins over geriatric Fed and poor man's Roddick. The field has been pathetic. There are great players but they're all mental midgets compared to the big two.

Nadal himself said that playing on grass puta a lot of pressure on his knees. If he is fit like before he has a chance.

But with foot injury and all, he maynot even play
