Nadal's comeback: Should have waited another month or two

There's no reason for a player to be giving that info to his rivals.

What do you mean? Everybody and their dog knows Nadal has 100 year old knees. It's no secret that he is unable to run or move the way he needs to in order to win matches. He just struggled against pure mugs in Brasil, and lost to a one and done mug in Chile. I don't think Nadal has to say anything at all to make it clear that he is finished as a top player.

Cheer up Clarky, not everything is said yet. Not at all.

We were talking anyway about last year. Why would Nadal have been saying if he was in a bad state, especially before a big tournament?. At the very least it would have been giving confidence to the other players against him.

The thing that would scare Nadal's rivals most is when he says he's focusing on clay more now than before. Djokovic's top priority is Roland Garros. No chance for Djokovic now. He couldn't even beat a numb kneed Nadal on a wet RG court. Like I said, the Nadal claycourt era has just begun. I just hope Nadal can win Madrid. Would be great to sweep the European clay season and enter the grass 'season' on a monumental winning streak.

So what was 2005-2012? The preview?

hardcourts are bad, very bad... a cheap econo-material to play on... i bet most of you guys haven't played on grass or red clay, i.e. proper tennis court... they both feel so much better, buttery on your joints...

why don't you guys just play on asphalt? same as most hardcourt imo...

Totally inaccurate, there are different kinds of hard courts, and I've played on red clay, it sucks-felt like I was on roller skates, and couldn't approach unless I practically hit a winner. Plus, that disgusting red clay caking on my socks, ugh.
