hey wut string is nadal using here...this is in the beginning of the year i think
Looks like he's either testing out some experimental Babolat string or trying Tecnifibre's Red Code, which would be my guess, but the other is possible.
He hits so much spin, the balls bleed on his strings. ;(
edit: Oops my mistake.
Dunno, but the video was back in December. If he liked the string he probably would have used it at the Oz Open.
dont know, but interesting to hear him speaking catalonian instead
I bet he was on Talk Tennis and decided he wanted to try some Pro Supex Big Ace out!
Uncle Tony was using the red string during their hit ups at the open.
yeah i noticed that aswell.
I called him up and told him how awesome Big Ace is.
nice find man, pretty cool seeing nadal rockin' some red string. my guess is some experimental new babolat string.
Ohh it would be nice if babolat came out with red strings or green
looks pretty cool on the aero drive!!! i wonder what it is though? how many pros use redcode??
john isner does on his o3 white
tipsarevic uses it in a hybrid with x-1 biphase. has red code in the mains.
He sure does, here's the vlog:
Well, if their babolat strings or not, they are awesome looking. It rocks with aeropro drive. But if they're new strings I wanna try 'em out.
looooks like a technifibre string
lol ^^^^ how can you tell? because they are red?
that seems to be the general assumption. there arent that many other popular red polys out there, but i dont think its technifibre cuz i figure nadal would stick with babolat.
thats what his non match strings look like. They are actually pro redcode pj'd to look like babolat pro hurricane tour for the matches.
(note the sarcasm)
If i had to guess i would say it is some type of babolat string in development. I think babolat is pretty good to him so I doubt he would switch strings.
OMG who is that as your avatar? thats CRAZY
I wonder to.
Oh well, one of two things.
Its redcode or pro supex big ace, because they are just about the only good polys that come in red. So he might be looking for a new string over his cheap 15L duralast...we might see nadal get even better, yikes.
OR, Babolat wants him to advertise the Aeropro Storm so they are trying to make Duralast in a Red color so Nadals racket and strings match color.
Sounds far fetched, but I bet aesthetics are important to Nadal, look at how he dresses hah.
Sorry, not sure about the string.
But i know one thing : It looks damn hot
hey someone shud speak to a babolat rep...it wud be nice too find out wut he is really using...
hes using the tecnifibre red code for sure
Yeah, someone should ask a Babolat Rep. This would definately help. You know to clear things up.
it must be red code
the color is far from red code...to me it looks like pro line 1 or something new...
Yeah I'd have to agree with you...does his contract even allow him to use anything other than Babolat strings?
As long as everyone thinks he is using Babolat strings I don't think they care. Like he uses duralast, but is always advertised as using pro hurricane tour.
i think its a red version of his string. people think he uses pht, but he has something more like duralast in it, due to the translucent color. the red strings were clear, so thats what i assume
has anyone asked a Babolat rep regarding this video?? It would be interesting to see what they have to say (providing they don't ignore the question)!!
He do use durlast,100% sure.
No one has yet to talk to a rep....mmm lets go guys...sry if i sound demanding...maybe its a kool new string from Babs...
they are duralastic
Since he doesn't use Pro Hurricane Tour, it's even funnier.
. . . Bud
Not the same shade as Redcode. Looks more like Big Ace (red) in color but probably more than likely an accidental sneak preview of soon to be released string by Babolat in red.
Red Version of tecnifibre x - 1 biphase? Thats not poly though
Apparently Babolat has "no knowledge" of him switching or using "any" type of red string.
He probably was just testing them. I see Tio Toni using them. Maybe he told Rafa to try them.
Are you guys going to police what he uses? How old is that video anyway?
off topic but how do u make ur avatar i cant firgure it out
on topick preety sure those are x 1s
My string guess would be Kirschbaum's new pro line strings. Unlike Red Code or the red Bi-phase, the pro line strings are translucent and Nadal's yellow strings have a translucent look to. I'm guessing he has been using a Kirschbaum and so was trying the new Kirschbaum.
That would be nice =] but red + yellow is ugly -.-
someone needs to show babolat the video!!!!!
Why do I suddenly feel like eating heavily seasoned almonds?
the video was at the beginning of the 2008 year or end of 2007...
he is never going to switch, he is very particular
He's using either Technifibre Pro Red Code or Kirschbaum Red Line I or II. I don't think Babolat is testing any red strings. He probably testing some other polys similar to his Duralast during practice sessions but goes back to the reliable Duralast during matches. He's probably on the market for new strings.
