Sysyphus, Rafa was injured in this specific gif, and of course match, therefore he couldn't bring it all out. Please stop lying to other TTW members.Ned devotee, this thread (not quoted) reminded me of your previous thread about NOLE.
In light of that, I would have to say that the slam dunk is Rafa's signature shot.

That's a badass picture right there. Skillful defending. My favorite Nadal "shot" is actually his spinning slice backhand return and defensive shot. When he wins points after using it to stay in a rally it's epic af

Ofcourse it's a Lehunterpro video.
Yeah it's nuts to me that he still uses that both as a return and in rallies, and spins completely around with his back to the ball and usually has to run to the FH side of the court afterward. To me, that's the one thing he does that I always pop for the way I did when I first saw it bc it's not easy! That's a badass picture right there. Skillful defending.
Guy puts amazing effort into his videos.Ofcourse it's a Lehunterpro video.
As soon as that first tune kicked in I knew.
They are the best.
Murray does it really well, too. Really? It's literally one of the easiest ones to do because when you have to reach further out than your normal reach on your non-dominant side, the only way to extend it is to pivot on your outer leg and turn backwards because the shoulder width + that first step gives you like 3-6 ft extra reach. Some people don't do it because while you gain ground you lose a split second of recovery time because you need to turn 90-180 one more time to run / prepare for the next shot.Murray does it really well, too. Phenomenal athletes, both of them.
This is freaking awesome! Because it came off Stan's big backhand cross court shot which would have been a winner or forced error against anyone else. Nadal not only gets to the ball but hits a ripping banana out of it!
