Gonzales doesn't have a better backhand when he plays a guy like Tsonga or Federer, but those matches are 1000000 times as entertaining.

The reason is simple, where Federer and Tsonga hit winners, Nadal just hits to the backhand until he gets an UE. That's as boring as it gets.

I can see that you don't like counter-punchers so try to focus on attackers like fed/tsonga/verdasco and so on or on the big hitters who usually go for it.

You will be less bored and better entertained.

If you win matches with few winners and even fewer unforced errors - you're a pusher, because you win most of your points off of unforced errors by your opponent.

I'm sorry, but I expect to see some attacking tennis in the QF of the US Open.

And didn't you get what you wanted? Federer-Soderling,Verdasco-Djoker and DelPo-Cilic were hard hitting matches,with a lot of attacking going on. Nadal is the only counter-puncher out there,the rest are mostly offensive minded players.

Its all to your taste. i personally enjoy watching Nadal. The man is a testament to controlled aggression something i've been trying to work into my game for a while now. You say hit it to the backhand while omitting the fact that the shot he's hitting to the backhand is a MONSTER forehand that picks up speed after it bounces. You fail to mention also that its an aggressive tactic. It isn't a push by any means, it creating an opening instead of wildly trying to create one, like players such as Tsonga and Gonzales do. Both styles have there merits and draw backs
Tennis is in essentials a percentage game, and Nadal plays percentages. It's a vastly underrated, and sometimes looked down upon, weapon. Murray knows how to utilize it, as does Federer. So i will sit and watch Nadal and enjoy it, enjoy the smarts, power, percentages, and yes, amazing defensive saves.

Nadal punishes the backhand until the other guy folds. He's putting the pressure. By that logic, they shouldn't be unforced errors.

Againt Murray, he played 70% of his shots to his forehand.
