Nalbandian, what is wrong with him??

Nalbandian has to be one of the most underachieving players, when you watch him though you can see all the talent he has, he has a great forehand, a superb backhand, the best double hander in my opinion and a not below average serve, he also seems to have good fitness, despite his size, because he always looses the 1st set and normally still goes on to win, which is strange and i look at him and he is never vigorously out of breath , but what is it that is preventing him from becoming successful?

Apparently, he's lost his focus on tennis, for the moment.

Yeah he just needs to motivate himself more and reach his potential. Perhaps Federer and Nadal dominating the ATP has put him off since it will be very very hard to stay up and threaten them at the moment which may put him off since being at most number 3 could not be enough for him.

Championship squads from sports teams suggest you're in the winner's circle if you are 1 of 5, 1 of 11, etc. So I think Nalbandin has plenty to be proud of. It doesn't mean he can't improve his fitness, on-court strategy and overall hunger to win. His backhand is a joy to watch and endurance honorable but power and speed could be improved by dropping his BMI.

Spot on. I don't think he has the ability to hang with Fed and Nadal for the stretches that they have strung out. His game is built on hitting the ball extremely cleanly with no plan B to speak of.

I hope he comes back to form, maybe make a run at Wimbledon.

He has had a good career. This game breaks you down, year after year. What do you expect from a South American who likes to have some fun?
