Where did post 1 go ?

Cilic gets Miss Pronounced quite a bit. Or he gets quite a bit of Miss Pronounced, i forget which.

Its a Miss Terry to me how people can pronounce Đoković in different ways including Joke-avich, and Choke-avich.

hahaha f**k thats a good one:)

Oh, I will most definitely have to listen to your suggestions. Classical guitar is magnificent. I have fond memories of my mother playing some beautiful music on her guitar...I'm sure Andres can top her playing. As for Indie Rock, why, that's one of my favorite genres...although my most favorite is instrumental music of all kinds, bands like Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, The Octopus Project, Pelican. I could go on all day with music .
In fact, I might start a thread tomorrow in Odds and Ends...Lifted's personal music recommendations!

greatt bands there, esp Pelican and mogway.

im sorta ecletic too, ranging form BRMC to Amon Tobin to LCD SSystem..

lets just not start talking about music... i know it's goung to trigger my consumerist persona and in minutes ill be in the Local Majjor recod store bugging the guys with the latest singles from Sun Kill Moon, Stereolab, Ladytron... up Bustle and Out...

and.... haaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

now you have done it... Lifted. i blame you for destroyng this months salary....

:):):)

Must resist... to many records...

Heh, I think, but am not 100% positive, that Gretzky is either an eastern Slavic variant (although I'm not sure of which one) of Górecki (Polish being classified as a western Slavic language) or an English corruption (this is me guessing wildly here).

If anyone is interested, here is the etymology:

Gorecki
Usage: Polish
Extra: Statistics
Means "a person from Górka, Poland". Górka is a town in Poland whose name was ultimately derived from the Slavic gora "mountain".

Source (a great website, there's one for first names as well): http://surnames.behindthename.com/php/search.php?type=n&terms=gorecki&submit=Go

Thanks a lot. will check up more. Your post reminds me of a Russian friend in the US, whose name was Kunicki. When i asked him if he was Italian he revealed he was Russian and his name was ack pronouned Koon-itz-kee.
