I used to have a copy of this poster, which sadly got damaged beyond saving.

It should be Murray since I'm Scottish, but ever since he recorded a Cameo for my mum's 80th birthday last year, Ivan Lendl has consolidated his position at the top.

On the women's side... Graf at the time, but probably Martina Navratilova now which is a big about-face.

Not sure what OG fan here means

Sorry about the confusion, thrust. OG is a slang term that sort of means you've been around a while and know a lot about both the past and the present. I meant to give kudos to your acknowledgement of both the Open and Pre-Open eras!

NO offense was take, I thought the OG meand old goat, which is not far from the truth- LOL! Also, I think the earas should be separated. One of the first matches I recall seeing on TV, was a US final between Bueno and Court. Margret started strong in both sets, but when Maria caught fire, she roared back and won both sets. Court's game lacked exceptional flair, but she did everything very well and like Evert, was very consistent. Maria was a better version of Goolagong, similar game style, but mentally tougher and more consistent.

My TRUE all time favorite players have not been GS-champions nor holders of ATP/WTA-top rankings.

But if I'm forced to choose between the legends/stars then the following two players are without any doubt the best of the best: R. Federer & S. Graf

I believe this thread is about FAVORITE players, not the greatest. Two other favorites of mine are Patrick Rafter and Evonne Goolagong, in the open era. Pre Open Era: Pancho Segura- Franciose Durr, two unorthodox great players.

Agreed the eras are best separated, and also that's a pretty sweet TV memory.
