Positive news for her career. I think it’s always been an issue of priorities with her. I never thought she was going to retire, unlike many on here who seem to be foaming at the mouth to see her fail.
It’s undeniable how ironic it is that she said this talking to a panel of celebs on a HBO show produced by LeBron James though lol
But she speaks fluent Chinese, which gets another billion or so fans following her.She is not chinese, she is British.
She talks british, she acts british, she has friends who are british, she thinks like a British, enough to not be chinese
She needs to do a press conference first, to tell us about it.
Great summary. I think she suffers from identify crisis. She was born in Japan but raised in the US. If you remember her first US Open win, she was constantly bowing hither and yon. She talks about how terrible the US is but she was given her mother's name instead of her father's. Why? Because it was intended she and her sister were to be raised in Japan and her mother feared "backlash" (i.e. racism) against the girls. I think the absolute worst thing that could have happened to her was the USTA rescheduling those matches because she said she'd default if they didn't. And what's so wrong with being the highest paid women's tennis player anyway?I saw an interview of her with BJK, kyrgios, and fish and the one IG live where she interviewed Swiatek, and I get the feeling it's almost like she's having an existential crisis. I see it in her netflix docu too. She refuses to be defined by merely being a tennis player and already looks toward the future post tennis life. I think that mindset is counter-productive and really hurting her game. She needs to go beyond the public perception of her imo, and just accept that she can't control what people will say/think about her, and focus on working on the present. In the end, she should find it within her to find value in who she is just being her without the externalities, the praise and recognition.
Thank you for your pedantry. She's British like Naomi Osaka is American. People can be more than one thing. She is not chinese, she is British.

I'd like to think Raducanu gives inspiration to Osaka to overcome their mental pressure, get off social media, and get back to enjoying tennis, and hopefully get off her virtue signaling kick. The Raducanu threat woke her up.
Would be easier to digest typed out in posts on some obscure message board in cyberspace, lolI'm so tired of hearing about what's on her mind! lol
I wouldnt be surprised if she’s feeling sponsorships in danger with the new talent coming up, such as Emma and Leyla both of whom showed great talent and also are attractive and charismatic. Sponsors dreams.I'd like to think Raducanu gives inspiration to Osaka to overcome their mental pressure, get off social media, and get back to enjoying tennis, and hopefully get off her virtue signaling kick.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a calculated move. Nobody expected Emma to come along and "steal" the limelight away from her. So how does one try to retake dominance? Well, she can't get Emma with whisperings of an SJW "talking point". So, you get back on court relatively quietly and try to arrange a meeting during a tournament. If Osaka wins that match, she'll steal back the news/media talk again. Fame is fickle.I wouldnt be surprised if she’s feeling sponsorships in danger with the new talent coming up, such as Emma and Leyla both of whom showed great talent and also are attractive and charismatic. Sponsors dreams.
I hope Raducannu thrashes Osaka black and blue sending her into retirement.
Your most reasonable post in weeks.

When will you come out of your fake avatar and gain some credibility? Tell me, which country are you from? Germany? Ashamed of revealing your identity?
Why is my avatar "fake"?
It is a nice picture of the GOAT with her beautiful big nose.
I'm from Austria.
Your avatar is fake because your display name is from Better Call Saul TV series, you pick is of some tennis player, thats why.
As if our name were really "Sunny"...
And your pic is also some tennis player, although an uglier one than mine.
I actually prefer Nadal's wife. This is my avatar anyway, both of them are better than Steffi
Novak's wife is gorgeous ....

Sunny is at least real, you are fake, Rich Schweikart reeks of inferiority complex.
Plus Graf is not pretty by any stretch of imagination, my DP is of Novak and his wife, both of them are better looking than Steffi Graf....
I actually prefer Nadal's wife.Federer's on the other hand...

Something fishy about that itch. It could be something else.
The inspiration was in seeing how an adult conducts themselves in public.I'd like to think Raducanu gives inspiration to Osaka to overcome their mental pressure, get off social media, and get back to enjoying tennis, and hopefully get off her virtue signaling kick.

The tournament needs to make sure when she returns to have her eventually meet Leyla Fernandez in the draw. Read this Indian Wells tournament director."But it wouldn't really matter to me if I won or lost. I'd just have the joy of being back on the court."
Lol.
Except that 75% of people talk in disgust, while 50% wish she would finally retire to finally spare us from non-tennis drama.Actual tennis tournaments are taking place and yet Osaka is still the one getting the attention, headlines and posts from people here. The power she has. Bigger than the sport at the moment it seems.
And yet you’re 100% here talking about it giving her attention and the headlines. She lives rent free in your mind. Tennis tournaments taking place yet the focus is on her. Now that’s star power.Except that 75% of people talk in disgust, while 50% wish she would finally retire to finally spare us from non-tennis drama.
No, that's garbage power. It's like stepping in a dog's poo - as much as you would like to ignore it, you still have to clean the shoe... and it stinks. And yet you’re 100% here talking about it giving her attention and the headlines.
