Andy Murray aka Napoleon Dynamite lost again. What a bum. I thought he would start playing better after the SAP open, was i dead wrong.

"Verdasco67"...are you at the tourney? Do you think your man is going to get the better of Andy this time. They're supposed to meet in the 3rd round.

i really doubt moya will do any damage to nadal. I hope moya wins though! And it looks like melzer is going downhill...struggling to find form now...

nope im not at the tourny...i wish! However i hope verdasco will challenge roddick more this time...i sense an upset here..(if they do meet)

He's got a wicked forehand. I hope he keeps attacking Andy's backhand.

yeah..one of the best forehands on tour if you ask me.....it all comes down if he plays well on the day.....if his forehand is working i think roddick will have no chance...

Miami plays slower that PLO, so Verdasco should have a good shot at Roddick whose confidence is down in the doldrums.

With Murray out, if Rusedski can just win two or three matches - I think he can beat Youzney today - then he might just be able to reclaim his British no1 ranking for the first time in about 8 years.

The Roddick match is 50/50, but I think Roddick will win.

I'd love to see Moya win but unfortunately his form is patchy, you never know.

Sure seems like there are suddenly a lot of moya fans, sounds like fed fans wanting nadal out of tourny.

What the heck happended to Gimelstob? Great job by Santoro winning over Karlovic, i bet that was entertaining! Also great job by Kevin Kim! I've worked out with one of his assistant coaches and like his grinding style. Bogey takes out my local boy Sam Querrey in a hard battle. Too bad Sam didn't draw Donald Young in the first round.

Singles – First Round
G Rusedski (GBR) d M Youzhny (RUS) 63 61
L Horna (PER) d F Mayer (GER) 64 76(5)
K Vliegen (BEL) d B Pashanski (SCG) 62 46 63

great win for rused!

He must be pretty full now. Two bagels are quite filling plus he ate them in 40 min.

Ok so who wants to do the "Should Donald Young retire?" thread and who wants to do the "Is Carlos Berlocq future top 10" thread? Lets coordinate things here people.

It looks like Donald Young is going to get double bagelled (or maybe 1 game)by the easiest draw he could have gotten. There should be a rule that says that if you get double bageled by someone out of the top 100, you get no more wild cards and have to win a challenger before being allowed into a qualy draw.

I'd like to set up a match with Donald Young. If i beat him can i get the next wild card he is scheduled for. I think i got a shot.

22 minutes in the first set plus 18 minutes in the second= 40 minute match.

18 minutes a set = 3 minutes a game.

Ohhhh... god...

3 minutes a game... it's like a 6 secs average per point :)

This is a really bad result for Donald. I hope this doesn't crush his ego too much. Man, I gotta tell ya. If I were Donald, I would have stayed in the juniors until they kicked me out. Screw that!

Holy crap, Philippoussis takes the first set in the match against the journeyman Sanguinetti.

I've got my money on Scud. He's going to have to get past the 1st round one of these days. Just hope he doesn't lose his momentum because of the rain delay.

Did you bet on the Young-Berloq match? It had close odds.
I emailed you yesterday to confirm that Agassi bet.

I never got your email. What is your email address? I had $20.00 on Young. It was a token bet.:p

Are you Italian? I thought you were an Argentine.

I was born in Italy, but my parents and I moved to ARG when I was 3 months old.

Both my parents are italian. I coulnd't keep my real name (Andrea), since in ARG, is a girl's name.

Scud loses the 2nd set 4-6. On serve in the 3rd.

I can't speak it fluently, since we spoke italian here until I was like 4, and in school, they were all talking in spanish.

Although I can understand it and translate it without problems ;)

berlocq is ranked #81 (although he got there thanks to challengers)

Men's Doubles: 1st Round
Guillermo Coria (ARG) Luis Manrique (ECU) WC vs.
Robby Ginepri (USA)Andy Roddick (USA)

Anyone seen this? I don't know which team surprises me more :-) But I think the score will be easy to predict. :-)

Interesting matches today... Nadal- Moya and Berdych-Acasuso would be my pick to watch.

Nadal over Moya in straights (one 7-5)
Acasuso over Berdych (6-4 in the fourth)

Those are my predictions ;)

So has anyone found a good scoreboard replacement for this ****ty scoreboard that the nasdaq open has in their official site?It takes awhile to refresh, i dont get it at all.
