No offense to Lakers fans, but am I taking pleasure in watching their team deal with the D12 drama, while most likely losing him and facing a rebuild after everyone assumed they'd be a force for the next 3 years?

Yes, yes I am. Makes the Shaq era sting just a little less.

Lakers and Dodgers, Angels too.
Too much money, want to BUY a winner, without the groundwork.
Maybe the A's will win the World Series, just to spite everyone with more money.

Thanks Grant Hill, for all of your efforts and competitiveness on and off the court, for being a classy athlete and citizen. Thank you for never making excuses regarding your injury plagued career. Lastly, thank you for never complaining about minutes or playing on less than stellar teams.

NBA and the world of sports will miss you.

Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Never. ever. underestimate the Heart of Lebron!

I don't question LeBron's heart; I question the team coming together. LeBron can't beat a team by himself for 48 minutes. Wade and Bosh have been non-factors. This team looks like LeBron's old Cavs in that they are just standing around waiting for LeBron to do something.

On paper this should have been a 5 game series. Pacers didn't get that memo and instead have really been the better team this series. I don't know who wins game 7 (my hunch is the Pacers), but I can say if the Heat lose that "LOL at the Heat" thread will be going viral.

Bosh: 4 rebounds only?
Come on...
Wade is still injured. It has been like this for 2 years now. His stats keep dropping, in every department.

Lebron needs to play the game of his life to lift the Heat otherwise it's gonna be the biggest upset of the decade.

Amen to this.
What a fantastic player. He'll be missed.

Delusional.

The pacers have one of the top 3 coaches in the league. They are also fantastic on the defensive end. They are young, extremely athletic, they exploit their wingspans, and they are very hungry and play full tilt every play.

Their offense has been very inconsistent. Hibbert in particular got off to a shaky start this season, but he's showing signs that he can be a great C in this league.

The pacers were a handful in last year's playoffs and I was confident that they'd take another step forward this season.

The invisible hand of David Stern
may influence the outcome on monday night, but the pacers' future is looking extremely bright. Actually, they look like a great team RIGHT NOW.

Exactly. I'm sick of Wade complaining that he and Bosh aren't getting enough touches.

How about these guys stepping it up on the defensive end? How about a 6'11" Bosh getting more than 3 or 4 rebounds a game?

How about acknowledging that the pacers play top shelf defense?

Bosh: 4 rebounds only?

IF the Pacers lose, they will be haunted by "the top 3 coach's" decision to leave Hibbert on the bench for LBJ's uncontested layup. This series already should be over!

My point exactly. :)

Even though Vogel did make a coaching error at the end of game 1, he's on the brink of having his team eliminate the heat.

And this is without having the services of the team's best player: Granger, at his disposal.

Sentiments echoed. A dukie I respect, even as a Tar Heel fan. Orlando fans should be ashamed for booing him when he returned this year as a Clipper.

I'm ashamed for them. Total class player and human, a chip off the block as his father was a classy Cowboy. Though he never contributed to a title, the Devos family should retire his jersey sometime in the future.

Most people in Orlando love Grant Hill. If anyone should be booed it should be the Magic's staff of Doctors who could not repair his ankle.

I echo your sentiments. He was a HOF caliber player until he was plagued with injuries. Such a shame. But instead of walking away from the sport he reinvented himself as the ultimate team player. That deserves respect.

Young players can learn a lot from him. Athleticism can get you into the league, but skill will keep you in the league.

I think he's a HOFer because of what he brought to the sport. He brought class, respect on the court. Off the court, reports have it that he was a great mentor to the younger guys on his teams. When he finally became healthy with the ankle, he was as consistent as anyone else. A steady 10-15pointer and re-invented himself as a perimeter defensive stopper.

I'm just saying, if announcers can get into HOF, Grant Hill needs to be in it.

Bosh is a beanpole outside 3 point shooter. He will never get consistent 10 rebounds or successfully bang with the big boys. He's giving up easily 30-40 lbs. to West and Hibbert. Haslem is too short, and getting old, so hops and maintaining position is getting tougher every year. Birdman can do the job, didn't play game 6. The other guys are 6'9" journeyman, who can't get the job done against West/Hibbert.
Wade and Bosh got aboundant touches early in the game, and went what? ..... 4 for 17? Just missing bunnies after bunnies.
Miami just played bad, period.
Look for a different game 7, look for San Antonio to exploit the inside weakness of the Heat, and if they play the Pacers, it's gonna be a tough matchup for both.

That's why Miami was projected to win in 5, 6 at the most. The Bulls have the same problem (no offense), which Miami exploited. The Pacers also have a big problem with turnovers, but for some reason the Heat can't seem to take advantage of their mistakes.

Wow! Can't believe Indiana is taking Miami to a 7th game. Whoever wins I'm still going to cheer for the "old guys" on the San Antonio Spurs....

It's a bad matchup for the heat. They struggled against the pacers last year as well.

Hibbert and George are young players who are still developing their games and identities as great young players.

The heat are not a young team, and outside of lebron, not that athletic. Allen, Miller, Battier, a broken down Wade, are either old, injured, not athletic, ineffective, or all of the above.

They don't have a true center, wade has declined sharply, and bosh is just as soft in crunch time as everyone feared.

Lebron might not be able to deliver the 8 rings he promised.

Yes, but our staff was just not very good. Phoenix has a great staff and they repaired his ankle. It was incredible to see the guy playing basically injury free after he got to phoenix and got fixed up.

Wow, expect a 100 million dollar man could find/get the best treatment in this country.

J Kidd retiring too. I'm starting to feel old now w/ all the players I remember being young when I was growing up now retiring and being called 'old', like KG.

I am sure many of us are thrilled with the current scoreline. Say Chi Sin Lo, you're a massive fan of the Heat aren't you?

How so, exactly?

The Pacers are killing the Heat down low, the Spurs will do the same.

More importantly, the Heat don't have answers for Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

Mario Chamlers and other Heat guards can talk trash all they want, but please, they're scrubs if it weren't for LeBron James getting them wide open looks.

Pacers' George Hill can't really match up with Tony Parker either, but he'll be better than Mario Chalmers. Overall, I think the Pacers are a more complete team to go up against THE complete team + Greg Popovich.

Scrubs?

They are pro basketball players. So you think Spurs would destroy the Heat in the finals? Not seeing it...

They are scrubs among professionals, they look good because LeBron makes them look good.

I don't think they'd get destroyed, but I think the Heat matches up bad against the Spurs. I think the Spurs would win 4-2 if they were to play the Heat. I can't call the Spurs/Pacers series. It'll be a toss up for me.

Spurs 4-2 over the Pacers, for me Spurs Heat is the toss up.

Home court advantage might be big for the Heat though in that series. Pacers lost their series 2-0 and the Heat won theirs 2-0, but that was a long time ago and doesn't mean much at all for the finals. Still, I felt it was worth making the point anyway. ;)

Hibbert just got called for his 5th foul and the Pacers are on the ropes.

Rumour has it Floyd Mayweather Jr. made a 5.9 million dollar bet on this game in favour of the Heat (I doubt it somehow).
