Forgot he had shoulder surgery last Feb.
Dwight Coward's stellar resume:
0-6 against the clippers
0-3 against LA teams this season
2 straight home losses
10-27 from the line the last two games.
Best center in the game!!!!
LOL @ Wade and the Heat. That was one of the dumbest things/plays i have ever seen
Indiana looks impresive, they will cause trouble for Miami
Bennett looks like a bust. 6'9 guy who just camps at the 3 point line (and misses them). Was not a fan of that pick and it likely won't pan out.
Seems the BUILT (Pacers) Team is pulling away from the Bought (Heat; at a discount in LBJ's case) Team. Perhaps it is too early to tell but usually when a team plays that good they usually end up doing great the next 3-4 years (last year was Year One for Indy and coincidentally the fourth year for the Heat).
Wonder if and how Danny Granger fits in this team?
It's November for God's sake. Indy good start but Miami's still the champ. They don't care about the regular season but will be there when it matters.
I'd say the team that is most dangerous no one is talking about is the Minnesota Timberwolves... This team has some nice pieces-- and can put up POINTS (not just the 47 point outburst in the 1st quarter against the Lakers tonight. They've been putting up big numbers all year) I'd like to see the defense improve some, but if this team gets hot they can beat anyone in the league.
You've got to wonder about rubio: 31% shooter.
Thought pistons would be in contention for the 6 seed in the east. Now they look like a lottery team .
Ran out of the building
Early flop of the year candidate: Brooklyn/Sacramento 11/13/13
Jason Terry flopped an elbow to the face, and he wanted to start a fight after. LOL!!!
^ Damn, missed it. Who was he trying to fight? Any vid?
Jazz enjoying their longest win streak this season
Jazz win the Battle of New Orleans, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBmE_clkBBU
Its too early to say for sure, but the cavs should have gone BPA and taken Oladipo. He is going to be a good one for us once he gets a season under his belt. Thank you cleveland.
Where can you find real Jazz men? New Orleans or Salt Lake City?
I was watching the NBA Gametime broadcast. The crew did a little more clowning after "OOOH that's $5,000, give me that."
Charles Barkley and Shaq are giving a lecture on how-to-post. Dwight and Griffin need to watch them.
Thanks, that's hilarious . As for Dwight and his post game. He turned down KAJ's help. Doesn't look like working with the Dream is doing any good, so Shaq and Chuck are pretty much hopeless in their "quest"
Working out with the Dream isn't doing any good? That's hard to do. How a big man working out with the Dream isn't improving his game is beyond me.
Kobe and LeBron added a whole new dimension to their respective game just by working out with the Dream over the summers. And they're mostly perimeter players!
Dwight's post game still sucks. And this is his 10th season in the nba.
Dwight may not be as athletic or as smart as he looks
Which is why he doesn't shoot much. He dishes the ball much more often, making his teammates look better.
As a Wolves fan, there is a lot to be excited about this year if the Wolves can stay healthy, which was their undoing last year.
Re: D12, just going to reference my last post:
Everyone has figured out how to defend him now. I have not watched the fox enough but I would seriously be asking for Asik to get 20 mins a night at C with Dwight riding pine on nights when he struggles.
Watching Vucivic here is a pleasure compared to Dwight when it comes to post play. Dwight is the best defender in the league down low, but Vuc has such solid footwork, touch and an overall game. We stole this guy from Philly.
Dwight is what he is. He won't get better, he thinks he doesn't need to be. Asik asked for a trade, now teams will low ball Morey if he decides to trade him. McHale will be gone next, than Lin... and the Dwightmare continious
golden state looks so much bettery with iggy. they were fun to watch before but if shots weren't falling - they were done. with iggy it looks like they can do a lot more.
Iggy also improves their perimeter D a little bit.
I think the NBA's crackdown on flopping isn't working. I think it's time to start yanking floppers from the game instead of just fining them.
When you start pulling players from games, coaches will step in and say: "HEY! Stop flopping because I need you in the game!"
Award goes to............http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2wM_SJX7mw
The flopping is pathetic... so is the 5k fine. It's like 10$ for these guys, start suspending people. One game without pay, probable +1 in the loss column and they will learn.
Naw, I'd still give it to Jason Terry. How are you going to flop and then start a fight. Comedy sketches can't do it better.
The past 3 seasons, Wade and Bosh's presence are cumulative to LBJ's success, however, at this point with Wade's physical troubles, LBJ taking over might be enough already imo! Heck, he'll most probably return to Cleveland and rack up some more championships with Irving (while in his youthful prime). Or get lured by L.A. to continue that championship pedigree.
Rose would never be the next MJ post injury; just look at other tiny injuries popping up here and there.
Building around Rondo? Please, Rondo ain't Isaiah Thomas (ok, he isn't a celtic but you get the drift...), full stop!
I like the chances of Iggy with the Warriors! In fact, any team (where's that Divac, Webber & Williams flashy games--nevermind championships!) in Ca I'd support except Kobe returning back being Kobe, at his age? He'll probably do great some games but dominate? I think not. Mind might be willing but will his body?
However, unless Kobe reverts back to # 8 and discard # 24 (trying to do one better than MJ's 23!), he may never win another title.
D. Williams, as good as he is, his sprains here and there are getting so much more consistent, not a good sign.
TD (in my book the PF GOAT) as much as I love the guy and the team's work ethic, I think they'll be in another ''so close yet so far away'' scenario but they are here to stay for sure, until the wheels fall off.
Must be the synapses between the ears not cooperating/well-connected.
No WiFi hotspot. Or perhaps Dwight is trying to insert his old I-Phone 4s' micro sim to I-Phone 5s' nano sim slot!
Anyone notice the Trailblazers?
not since the promising Brandon Roy retired the first time or Oden's unfulfilled promise dematerialized...
Well, Happy Trails this season.
Ronaldo, hope Oden doesn't finally materialized on LBJ's team otherwise it would really be a shame on the Blazers part.
Thought the Cavs were young. Portland has 8 rookies or 2nd yr players.
As the one and only Blazers fan outside of Oregon (and most likely the only Portland fan in South America), I even posted a FB status about my Blazers.
2nd in the west, 3rd in the league? That's GOAT stuff right there!
Which coach gets canned first? Mo Cheeks, Mike Brown, or Jason Kidd? Best start for Blazers in 12 yrs, 7th straight win.
Mo Cheeks isn't so bad. Mike Brown gets booted out first, I think.
They should try Jason Kidd as player/coach. The higher-ups want to win it this year just as badly as the Knicks proclaim they want to win it now. No sir!
... How sad are Dwyane Wade's knees?
~10 games in and either through his own decision, or people in his camp, he's sitting out games.
Needs to contact Rafa or change the surface. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0nhL_vO5Pk
More sad than the finality of winning it in Candlestick Park.
Too early in the season to tell but bringing in Pierce and Garnett in hopes of contending immediately just doesn't seem to be working. Wonder how Caoch Kidd can turn it around...or not and miss the playoffs.
Charles Barkley calling the Clippers/Thunder game
Last time he called a game, this happened:
Just for Sir Charles' arched eyebrows, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyvn5idWuhE
ps Who woke up Andrew Bynum?
The Knee God got mad last night...
The part that p!sses ME off is that a bunch of NBA fans (mostly children) seem to forget how game-changing a healthy, in-rhythm Derrick Rose is/was. The guy had the ball-handling skills of a Chris Paul, the freakish athleticism of a Dwyane Wade, the clutch factor of a LeBron or KD...
You read the current Twitter feed and realize these kids are so ignorant and insensitive with such a short attention span, and it makes me want to throw up. People were actually debating whether to take Michael Beasley or D-Rose at one point. And for a while, the choice seemed like Carmelo-Darko all over again. One of the most emotional moments I can remember is when Rose won his first MVP. A person with exceptional God-given ability on the court and grace and humility off of it.
