Utah is interesting with Mitchell and Conley backcourt. Conley gives them an actual option to score on the night Mitchell is off or needs to rest or whatever.

And lets face it not many FAs are going to willingly sign to play in the "City of Utah". Conley is probably the best addition they could have hoped for.

If everything is right in this world Ricky Rubio needs to end up on the Spurs. Its probably to late for him to become much better as a shooter but Chip seems to get the most outta those types and that's about the only think Rubio cant do.
But the rumors are putting him Indiana where he may not be too bad besides Oladipo. Rubio just needs 4 shooters around him if not the defense can just pack the paint and offense goes nowhwere. Not quite GSW in the finals without KD and Klay nowhere but pretty close.

What is the deal with Demarcus Cousins?
Will he stay on the Warriors team or will he seek a maximum contract elsewhere?

I wonder if the Celtics will pursue him now that Horford is leaving. Should have something like 20 million freed due to Kyrie and Horford departures? I don't know how the numbers work.

Horford didn’t exercise his $30million option for a r-Ainge of reasons. Don’t be surprised if he’s suiting up in green again.

Imagine if the Celtics trade Gordon Hayward for Chris Paul and either resign Horford or sign Demarcus Cousins. This is possible, no?

CP3? You’re suggesting parting ways with a demanding whiner for an even more proven powder keg commodity and at a much more advanced age?

If they decide to add a PG because they have little faith in Rozier being a #1, go young at least and do the swap with the Nets for Russell. At least he has a pedigree Celtics surname, no?

I feel like CP3 is still great, and we just haven't been able to see it because of the way the Rockets offense has been run. I don't know much about Russell.

CP3 is a team breaker. He whined in NO, forced a trade to LAC. Ditto his time in LA, forcing the trade to Houston. Now that it’s not panning out with the Rockets, he’s whining again. If you didn’t like Kyrie’s chemistry with the Celtics, it will be worse with Paul.

Russell is younger by almost 11 years, has more offensive skills and is developing into a dimer, almost doubling his APG in one year. Short of his stupid social media gaffe as a rookie with the Lakers, he is not a problem in the locker room. Dumbest move Magic ever made was shipping him to Brooklyn over that gaffe and then trying to replace him with Ball.

I don't get why this is news. Under what circumstances would a player ever opt in for relative peanuts ($13 Million) instead of testing free agency and big $$$?

Another big-name player is apparently joining the mix of unrestricted free agents this summer.

Milwaukee Bucks All-Star swingman Khris Middleton has reportedly declined his $13 million player option for next season, his agent, Mike Lindeman, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Bucks and Middleton are planning to work toward a new long-term deal as he is expected to command a five-year max contract to stay in Milwaukee. If he opts to sign elsewhere, Middleton would be eligible for a four-year max deal with another NBA team.

Not sure if Middleton is a max guy but he is def worth more than 13mil.

As far as CP3 Tom is right. wears out his welcome fast if he doesn't get his way. Then when playoffs come around he always get hurt. Track record is too high and hes too old to risk it with him at this point.

If Morey can trade him and get anything return to shed the rockets of 40 mill a year slary he should automatically win GM of the year. Dude aint going nowhere.

I agree with you that cp3’s skill set fits perfectly with the Celtics especially if horford came back. But as Tom said his attitude sucks so it probably wouldn’t work out.

Zion, Ja and RJ go 1 through 3 as expected. The first trade sees NOP drafting at #4 for Atlanta and selecting Virginia forward De’andre Hunter, giving up #8, #17 and #35. At #5, the Cadavers chose to go with best talent despite having drafted PG Colin Sexton last year and selected Darius Garland.

At #6, Phoenix traded with Minnesota and selected Texas Tech star Jarret Culver. Phoenix gets the #11 pick and Dario Saric.

Chicago went for another UNC backcourt star, Coby White. Can he make the Bulls fans forget that other Tar Heel?

Atlanta selected for NOP and drafted Texas center Jaxson Hayes.

Gonzaga star and Japanese native Rui Hachimura will be a Wizard.

Atlanta adds the third Duke player in the 1R with Cam Reddish

Phoenix received the #11 pick from Minnesota and he is UNC’s Cameron Johnson. Rated as best shooter in the draft.

Charlotte goes #12 and picks PF from Kentucky, PJ Washington.

#13 belongs to Miami. Best available is UNC’s Nassir Little.

Kawhi Leonard was spotted at Home Depot today buying moving boxes. Changing homes in Toronto or moving out? In either case, why would he buy these stuff himself? I thought NBA players were rich and work with the best moving companies.

Celtics should get Bol Bol here

Edit: Welp, no Bol Bol for us
Edit2: Must be losing my mind, I thought Celtics traded the 20th pick for 24 and 30?

OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THE DRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fell out on an unplanned nap right before your Celtics added a wingman from Indiana, 6’6” Romeo Langford. He’s been dealing with a bad thumb that affected shooting accuracy during his one-and-done year in college.

The Magic are taking a bit of a gamble on Auburn star Chembe Okeke, who tore his ACL during the NCAA tournament. I guess deciding on frontcourt talent is a good sign that Fultz will be a healthy contributor.

I guess we also lost Baynes. Unlikely Bol Bol will still be there at No. 33. Not sure what we're doing, but I don't know basketball too well. I am excited about the picks we have made though.

7 feet 2. Only 208 pounds... He can put on weight and be a decent rebounder for the Raptors because Gasol is surely not getting the job done on the boards.
He has the pedigree... Wonder why Manute did not give him a first name?

The No. 4-ranked recruit in the 2018 ESPNU 100 rankings, Bol was the highest-rated player to sign with the Ducks in school history. When on the floor, he didn't disappoint, leading the Ducks in points (21.0), rebounds (9.6), blocks (2.7) and three-point percentage (52.0).

The first son of former 7-foot-7 NBA center Manute Bol of Sudan, Bol Bol's evolved game is highlighted by his versatility for his size and his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting.

Like his father, Bol Bol's shot-blocking potential and timing in the key has also impressed scouts.

I know a lot of people didn't respect Griffin as an good exec with CLE. He did win a ring though (LeBron) and if not for injuries maybe coulda won 2.

But he turned Annothy Davis. A guy everyone knew was going to beat feet and leave at the end for he season anyway. Into this.

- Lonzo Ball
- Brandon Ingram
- Josh Hart
- No. 8 pick in 19
- No. 17 pick in 19
- No. 35 pick in 19
- L.A.' 21 pick if top 8
- L.A.' 22 pick if not
- L.A. swap in 23
- L.A.' 1st in either 24 or 25

And got rid of Solomon Hill's contract.
And has 30 mil of cap space.

If somehow N.O wins a ring with all this he should probably thank LeBron again.

Good point Lonzo is soon to be a 5 time consecurive finals MVP. The Lakers will rue the day when they traded the grestest player of all times for a skinny guy with a funny eyebrow that only shoot threes, block shot, and score better then Lonzo.

Anybody that thinks Lonzo and Zion won’t mesh from the get go doesn’t watch much basketball. Or understand it. The minutes that LeBron/Lonzo shared together when both were healthy were very impressive. Tops was the double triple-double they put together vs Charlotte in a blowout. Only seven other tandems in NBA history have done that and it was the first pair of teammates to do it since Kidd and Vinsanity for NJ in 2007. That night they scored or assisted on 63 of the 73 Laker points scored in shared time. That’s 86% and all Laker players shot 65% on attempts made from passes from them.

I don’t expect Zion to have James’ range as he evolves these first couple of years but Lonzo will find him in the best possible court positions to facilitate his mid-range and closer attempts.

Gonna be exciting times in NOLA. Let the naysayers build up their “credibility.”

Just an amateur but I did get certified to teach and have a decent eye for coaching. Was it noble sureshs doing a backhanded compliment or perhaps @slice bh compliment discussing our chance meeting at Tony Palafox’s training center when we were both quite a bit younger?

No, it was @Nostradamus telling someone they can ask you if they don't believe him. I can't remember what it was about or what thread though.

Pretty sure Westbrook and PG got 1 together this year. It was a hype game, I think it was against Portland. Shame they couldn't both show up against them in the playoffs together against them.

Also, happy with the Knicks draft.

RJ should have the keys to the team... might be a favorite for ROY. Also like Iggy Brazdekis in the 2nd round. He has a lot of ways to score and is polished, I know, I'm a Michigan fan so I have seen.

Yeah, a month or so after the JamesBall feat so now there are nine tandem trip-dubs. The George/Westbrook feat was the first ever with both scoring 20-plus.

This trade's a big risk for LAL tbh. If things go south this year for LA (remember Kobe and Howard in 2k12), it's very possible that Davis bolts next summer. LBJ also isn't getting any younger and if they can't get it done next year, both his and Lakers window could be slammed shut. I know going-all-in trades have worked to perfection recently (Kawhi to raps trade), but often times it doesn't.

Another thing that ppl don't seem to be noticing is that the Lakers roster falls off the whole damn map depth-wise once you get past Kyle Kuzma. I know they still have time to fix those issues but they gotta act fast if they wanna do so. A lot of the players in this free agency class don't seem to be the type to join a team with AD/LeBron already on it.
