Nets officials already worried about Kyrie's "mood swings" looooool.

Yet Irving's infamous mood swings, confirmed by his ex-teammates, which followed him from Cleveland to Boston to Brooklyn, are the unspoken concern that makes Nets officials queasy. When Irving lapses into these funks, he often shuts down, unwilling to communicate with the coaching staff, front office and sometimes, even his teammates. Nets team sources say one such episode occurred during Brooklyn's trip to China, leaving everyone scratching their heads as to what precipitated it.

In a game vs a top WC team (Denver), the Mavericks win 119-116 with Donczingis combining for a meager 22 points on 7 of 26 shooting???

All five subs used were in double figures with 17 boards and 18 dimes. Subs Hardaway Jr and Kleber led with 14 points each.

looking at stats Kawahi is dropping dimes at a pace of more than 7 per game. Really only thing he really needed to improve upon. If that trend continues he has surpassed LeBron in my book for best player in the world. And when Pg comes back makes the Clippers head and shoulders the title fave. They got depth the best player in the world and perfect complimentary super star.

agreed 100% on the playmaking improvement. Was his only real weakness and now it’s not one. But I have a hard time calling someone the best in the world when they need to take the 4th game of the season off due to load management in their age 28 season lmao. He missed 22 games last year (that’s 25% of the regular season) and is already skipping games this year 4 games in.He doesn’t even have a lot of miles on his body. He was a defensive specialist his first 3 years in the league and didn’t become the focal point of the offense until year 6. You’re in your prime and can’t play back to backs? Cmon man that’s BS

Valid point. If he only misses 5-10 games its not a big deal but yes 20+ is too many to be considered BITW. Last year there were questions about the quad and if was 100%. those questions should not be there anymore.

Just this morning I was going to post Embiid will create some fight soon as he looks for trouble all the time. How annoying is this guy?

The Claw rests against a tough Utah team and LAC gets biotch stomped 110-96. Mike Conley has a team around for the first time since a young Marc Gasol and veteran Zach Randolph in 2012/13.

Loving Kemba Walker. So glad Kyrie is gone. He puts up the sexier numbers but to the detriment of his team.

told you @FRV2
Also Gordan Hayward playing well this year. Maybe having a bad year was good for him. Lowered expectations so he can play with less pressure.

I think the horrendous injury he suffered took a while to reboot to full strength and flexibility. In addition, it’s awfully hard to trust in yourself psychologically that you’re 100% back. Confidence is a key ingredient in executing on the NBA level.

A bit of a rant on the Inside the NBA show...

First of all, Shaq, take care of your family first and foremost, best of luck to you.

However, I've got to say with Shaq not on the studio desk, it's such a better show.

The Heat are looking strong and may have a bona fide ROY candidate in combo guard Kendrick Nunn. He played at Illinois for three years but had some legal issues (misdemeanor battery) that resulted in expulsion so he sat a year and then played a year in 2018 for Oakland University. He spent last year on GSW’s G League team in Santa Cruz and Miami grabbed him in April. He’s averaging 22 plus in 5 games with a 28 point burst tonight in a 106-97 win vs Atlanta. He’s shooting 50 plus % from the field and a shade under that from the arc. The Heat are 4-1, behind in the EC to only the 4-0 Broad Street Bullies.

Break up the Pelicans! Who needs Zion when the rest of the crew can pound Denver 122-107. The Duke Connection was strong with Okafor and Frank Jackson combining for 47 and Redick chipping in another 7 from 17 minutes off the bench.

Trivia bit...Redick has never missed the playoffs in his career. When fellow Dookie Zion went down I thought that streak would be in jeopardy big time. Not so sure now, especially after the GSW woes knock out one of my projected Elite 8.

I don't have high hopes for Zion's future. They've already clipped his meniscus, and we all know what happens to your knee when you play (professional) basketball with no meniscus.

The Claw won the first SA rematch as a Clipper with a 38/12 performance in The Clip Joint, 103-97. The final margin was the largest lead at any buzzer in the competitive game. Montrezl Harrell was Kawhi’s most productive sidekick with 24 off the bench.

The Nets whacked the Hardbrooks and Kyrie was just #3 in points (22) with Taurean Prince and Caris LeVert combining for 52. The Dynamic Duo actually outscored Prince/LeVert but Harden bricked 21 times out of 31 for his 36.

Can someone please trade for Bricklayer Ross and let the Magic be less tragic??? Another horrible night shooting for that dweeb, going 4/15 and 2/8 from the arc. The Bucks blew the Magic out from the opening tip with Greek being spoken fluently in Orlando and a real sub (DiVincenzo) making 4/7 treys in his best NBA game in just 17 minutes of PT.

The Magic overall are The Gang That Can’t Shoot Straight but Ross is by far the worst. I’m gonna pick on him like Raul ragged Corbin, @Federer and Del Potro ! Cut him if nobody wants him.

Shaq on the attaq against people putting money before free speech.

I'm mostly boycotting the NBA this season (did catch some of the double-LA opener) for its shameless kowtowing to China and failure to stand by one of its own, but yeah, it was indeed nice to see Shaq school Charles on how to defend free speech in spirit as well as in lip service.

Also, I'm rooting for the rockets now since my favorite player went there. But I've come to realize I really overlook all the flopping that I would despise if I wasn't rooting for him that harden pulls lol. Westbrook is taking better shots, he would have had 3 triple doubles if the rockets weren't all off on 3s so far. Not that I care he gets triple doubles...lol.

I want Russ to win a championship. This could be his last chance.

A fellow Russ fanatic here. Been that way since prolly before most of y'all began paying serious attention to him, and I still maintain that pound for pound he's probably the best athlete in pro basketball history. At the same time I've never seen a player of his caliber with such horrendous shot selection and overall crap bball IQ, which is why I used to say he ain't winning a championship until he's moved to position 2 where he belongs with a true, trusty point a la Conley replacing him.

I'm not as adamant on that front now, but what Russ does need is a Pop-like figure who can command his respect and tame his worst instincts enough to cut down on his ball hogging and keep most of those disastrous 10-30 shooting nites from happening in the 1st place. Sadly (you knew this was coming) the no-D Antoni is decidedly not this dad figure that Russ desperately needs. The guy can't keep the Beard from dominating the ball with the likes of CP3, Gordon and Tucker around and yet he expects the biggest ego in the league to buck that trend? Sorry but I ain't optimistic.

@Federer and Del Potro , I prayed for Terrence Ross to have a better game and he delivered a lower rate of bricklaying, going 4-9 and 10 points but the Magic continued their tragic ways at home vs Denver, 91-87. His marksmanship is contagious as the Magic have yet to score 100 points in any game this year.

Please pray for him and them to deliver. Ross is certainly not earning his $12.5MM contract any more than Patrick Corbin, who coincidentally was paid the exact same amount in 2019.

Russ and Harden has been fine right now. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to see Harden do what he did last night. I hated watching Rockets games the last whatever years, because that is what Harden does... ISO DRIBBLE DRIBBLE DRIBBLE DRIBBLE STEPBACK ANOTHER MISSED 3. And now I'm forced to watch them and this disgusting Dantoni brand basketball. What the hell is their small lineup to close out games, where Tucker plays center? No freaking wonder they are a terrible rebounding team. Russ provides that, he does most things that Harden does not. Russ has an ego, but Harden is like his brother. He will not take over Harden's team, no chance no way. The man is loyal and a great teammate, regardless of what the media wants you to believe.

He is not gonna have someone as smart as Pop ever coaching him. It's funny you mention Conley, the guy gets paid 30 million a year and he is usually hurt come playoff time. It's not like he's tearing it up with the Jazz so far lol. But I do agree he's a solid player, when he plays.

PS I been a Russ fan since his rookie year (I actually liked him at UCLA but knew he was raw as hell coming out), he gave the Lakers fits in the playoffs his 2nd year. While KD was stinking it up, it was Russ keeping them in that series. And I witnessed his growing pains, he was bad in the Mavs series in 2011, he had a bad first half in the Finals game 1 2012... when his idol Magic Johnson ****ted on him. The media's been really bad to him, he always got the blame while 'niceguy' KD got all the raves. How Russ was taking shots away from him, how Russ was the reason KD bounced. Now we know KD for the snake he is.

Damn, this post is long.

If you think that's long I wonder what you think of my numerous dissertations here. :happydevil: And as you know Harden always looks to get to the line by whatever (barely legal) means possible and the refs keep obliging him. I don't blame him or anyone else who sticks to a proven game plan if that's what it takes to win. Rather blame the rules and the officials for making it possible in the first place.

Anyhoo good point about Russ and Harden's history of bromance and Conley's history of injuries, though I'll add that a solid PG like Mike is exactly what Russ needs or at least used to. And looks like U & moi are in the same boat when it comes to Russ fandom. Yeah it was ridiculous to see KD constantly referred to as this nice guy when it was clear to anyone who paid attention the guy had quite an ego himself (like when he refused to take the media's bait and congratulate Dirk when his Thunder lost that series). NTTAWWT, you don't get to where he is without a big head, but the original images of KD as a mild-mannered team-oriented professional and Russ as this brash ball-hogging athletic freak have more or less stuck through all these years. Wouldn't go so far as to call KD a "snake" (he's absolutely right to look out for himself first and foremost in what ultimately is a gang of competing businesses), but I do wish he'd stayed with Russ instead after barely losing that classic series to GS.

Russ reminds me a little bit of DWade, except DWade can play better within an offense and is a little more linebacker-like in size.

He also seems like a bigger (physically) version of old Knick John Starks.

I'm done watching Rockets games btw. Their defense is pathetic and when you have Harden who doesn't even try at that end, the rest of the team follows suit. Plus that system, I really can't.

It was quite obvious that he was not a nice guy when he said that Raptors will never be in the finals again. He is also stupid to attack the whole organization for some stupid fans who had no idea about sportsmanship during the heat of NBA finals.

They’re 5-1 and have beaten the Bucks and now Houston. Their only loss was before Butler joined the lineup due to the birth of his daughter and they were in control until the fourth quarter of the loss, a game that was the back end of a back-to-back following their OT win vs Milwaukee.

They head west now for three games at Denver, Phoenix and LAL (tail end of a back-to-back). 0-3 would be disappointing, 1-2 acceptable, 2-1 encouraging, 3-0 and 8-1 upon return exceptional.

They are certainly playoff quality and can do some damage if they get a top 4 seed. Finals level might be a stretch.

This Warriors G-League pickup Nunn is a total surprise, even with a ho-hum game vs Houston. Bam is bamming and Butler seems to like his new home a lot. Their backcourt/wings are very deep (Dragic, Herro, Nunn, Robinson, Johnson and of course The Butler). And you don’t stay in Miami if you don’t buy into the Pat Riley junkyard dog attitude.

As long as No-D Antoni is in charge, they're screwed. Even Kawhi would be screwed in that system.

The guy was carried off the court to the boos of said fans and ended up losing the championship and his entire next season, so I'd cut him some slack on this one. And remember, your boys are on the court while he's not. :happydevil:

I do not expect much intelligence from these guys as they usually have 0 education but a wise person would only express how he had felt. Sitting entire season is only his fault. He should have known better. That also shows how stupid he is. Don't get me wrong, I still think he is Top 5 player in this league and I wish him well.
