That was so painful to watch. The biggest media market in the world and the Mecca or basketball has the best odds to land the most marketable athlete on the planet and Xi Silver riggs the lottery for some loser team no one cares about because “it’s not fair” that Anthony Davis forced his way out. Never mind new Orleans had 7 years to build a contender and failed by giving Omer Asik, etwuan Moore, Solomon Hill and Alexis ajinca huge contracts and traded all their picks for injury prone busts like holiday, Gordon, and Evans. Nope none of that is the reason why Davis wanted out after 7 years he was just being a big meanie to a small market team so let’s gift them another generational talent that they don’t deserve. Zion on the Knicks would give the nba ridiculous tv ratings and a massive increase in advertising, merchandise, and ticket sales revenue. Nah let’s stick him on a team half the league doesn’t know exists so he can rot away on a trash franchise that already wasted 7 years of one generational talents career

No I will never get over this and I’m still mad
Knicks get the next great player, LaMelo, Dad coaches

In Real Plus Minus news, #2 Giannis has separated himself from #3 Beard and #4 LM and has gained ground on #1 LBJ.

If the Freak can overtake the King for the RPM title by the end of the season, a second straight MVP would be a lock.

Too many people hate on LeBron for RPM to matter. If the bucks finish top record Giannis wins.

The exuses we will hear from people as to why LeBron doesn't deserve will range from AD being there (kinda valid) to everyone underestimating how good Dwight Howard still was (this will happen, you wait).

Is Vince actually gonna do it?

Vince would steal Dwights thunder if he did. Dwight's like "I'll be the oldest guy to ever compete".

Vince channeling his inner Lee Corso with the Dixon Ticonderoga number 2 pencil "Not so fast my friends"

Great till Vince' arm gets stuck in the rim and he just hangs there. Btw, bro-in-law is 55 and still two-hand dunks.

Pops has some ups man.

I was always able to dunk volleyballs, but the extra size of a bball just prevented me. One day I was riding my mountain bike and on the way by the courts saw some dudes playing. I stopped in played a game and between games was messing around and for some reason got a dunk finally. Then tried again and got it. The only time I ever dunked. At 6'1" 200ish not bad though.

I'd love to see Vince in the contest, but Im not sure if hes gonna do it. It would be the best rated one ever or at least since his last victory (2000?)

The Knicks had 14% odds of getting the top pick. That the Pelicans who had 6% odds ended up getting it is not good evidence of the lottery being rigged. In the end, every team had low odds of getting it, which means whichever team got it was going to be a surprise (including the Knicks).

+16 in 20 minutes. Seems to have great chemistry already with Lonzo. Team looks abysmal with him not on court though
Imagine Zion and Ja on the same team! It happened!

Giannis did not disappoint Paris fans with a 30/16/6 night as Milwaukee proves The Champagne of Beers does indeed travel well, 116-103 over Charlotte.

Wtf? Saturday Night Alright?

Luckily for them the league is so top heavy and there's so much mediocrity. And mostly it's the East that has more threats to the Lakers. But they've looked laughably bad against the Celtics and now the Sixers. Looked okay against the Clippers but still 0-2. Lost to the injury riddled Raptors too.

Not sure AD/Lebron will be enough come playoff time. Kuzma looks lost. Outside of that not much depth at all.

I gave the Lakers a buff, they've made it a game. Even still, my concerns about them stand win or lose tonight. They just don't have the depth. Going to be very hard in the playoffs to win without depth. AD/Lebron are amazing but outside of that they NEED Kuzma to be much much better. The supplementary guys are decent but Idk. Then again..the West is not very good. The Clippers seem to have their own discord or whatever in the locker room and the Rockets aren't really as good as people thought they might be.

Denver is an interesting team. Possible darkhorse.

The East looks like the Bucks playground, but they kind of choked last year. Hard to trust them. Haven't watched any of the Jazz this year, so Idk how good they are

Last time I checked you play five to a side. Tonight through three, nobody besides LeUnibrow has taken more than six shots. That means just about every one of LBJ’s 8 assists are to Davis.

Davis trade was a catch 22 in a lot of regards. Obviously it was the right move, the dude is a monster. Top 5 player in the league probably. But so many supplementary pieces had to be surrendered to make it happen. I thought it was a huge coup they got to keep Kuzma out of all of it. But he has regressed big time - at least in all the Lakers games I've watched him in. If the Lakers want a title, he can't keep ghosting.

They also aren't that good of a perimeter shooting team - again at least in games I've seen them in.

Edit: Though I see Cook/Daniels haven't gone in tonight, they usually hit some 3s

Rondo is a great facilitator and basketball mind, but unfortunately at 33 years of age considerably less impactful than he was in his heyday.

I'm ready to get into the playoffs though, these games don't mean much. I'd be surprised if the Lakers secondary pieces didn't step up at least a little come the real games.

But their games versus top tier teams this year has thus far been suspect. Get to see them play the Clips again on Tuesday.

The Jazz are interesting in that their best play has been against weaker teams AND when Conley was out. Tonight they edged a good team with Conley back but playing limited bench minutes. Snyder isn’t going to break the chemistry developed with Ingles as a starter. That’s nice depth to have a perennial All-Star coming off the bench.

Christmas Day loss to LAC was Kuzma’s best...25 points in 27 minutes and most of in the first half off the bench. His efficiency was crazy...led the team in 12 minutes less played than LeUnibrow.

Lakers got close but then Horford decided to GOAT. Lakers have 1 win versus the East's top 6. Yikes. Guess theyll be happy to be out west? time will tell
