BIG pressure
no doubt
I'll take Duarte in this spot, though, up 4-2 as they switch sides
BIG pressure
Looked like Touliatos really screwed up the point at 6-5 30-30 which would've given him a match point. He went to net and took the first volley way too casually, Vale was able to return it, then he missed a sitter for the 2nd volley
Texas and Cal in a rain delay currently, they are looking at a 4pm start.
Vale and Touliatos both playing tight as a drum
thanks - they got it going late in the doubles point. Looks like first sets split evenly 3-3
That was at least 3 feet inside the line... terrible call. I am glad the referee overruled itOh, boy, here we go again. Looks like a terrible hook by USC got overruled on court 4 to let Cernoch of UNC break at 40-40 to force a tiebreaker. That was a match point hook that failed.

Pure luck. doubles point was what decided it. if we won the doubles point, we would have won this by Genesen clinching it.
Genesen was trailing 6-7, 5-5 to a clutch 5th-year senior who has clinched an NCAA title, but no doubt Genesen was about to win the next 8 games.Pure luck. doubles point was what decided it. if we won the doubles point, we would have won this by Genesen clinching it.
Look at the SEC when UGA is not the top Dawg. None of them man enough to fill the shoes.

welp, looks like we're about to have:
L side of the bracket - Ohio St and a triad of ACC teams
R side of bracket - UF and a tried of Texas teams
maybe UGA was just too sleepy this year once they no longer were a combination tennis team and drug ring?
maybe just sit this one out, bro?
Ha, what the hell was that
Looked like he thought he might be able to get away with the call for a second and raised his arms in celebration, then tried to claim once overruled that he had not called the ball out, strange one
He's the coaches son, also, to make it more fun

I do not think that USC player was calling any shot out. He was claiming that his own serve was out, so he was not really ready for the return. And he may have a point, it may have been out....
No SEC program can sniff the success of UGA. None of them can make a name for themselfs.
There's something strange about Axel. He should be winning more often. His last results are:maybe if Geller had one other shot besides a serve, he wouldn't have gotten taken to the woodshed and stanford could have won?
moved indoors and still couldn't serve his way out of trouble
Yes, that is a very interesting stat. UCLA was inconsistent all season aside from their #1 and #2 who when on song can match up with any team. USC, while a bit more consistent, didn't have a big gun which I think you need these days. Cal came on stronger toward the end of the season and I think overall can feel pretty good about their season considering where they started from. And Stanford was again, well, Stanford--a shadow of the teams Dick Gould led to many NCAA titles. And considering the success the Pac-12 has had for so long I am still somewhat surprised that none of the other teams in the conference have been able to step up and become much of a factor. I go to the Pac-12 championships every year in Ojai and it's almost always just the California teams that are vying for the title, more often lately just the L.A. teams, the others are just cannon fodder--for all intent and purpose it really should be the Pac-4. It will be interesting to see how the Pac-12 teams react next year. The PAC-12 has advanced a team to the men's QFs every year since 1977, when the NCAA adopted the team dual-match format, until this year.
From what I have seen of him playing I am not impressed. He's a player who hits the ball then has no idea what do when it comes back...maybe if Geller had one other shot besides a serve, he wouldn't have gotten taken to the woodshed and stanford could have won?

No explanation for Emma Higuchi's absence from the Stanford women's lineup. They might need her to get healthy to win it all.
