Need advice on purchasing stuff for doing annual maintenance on my 10 speed racing bike.

Took my bike to a local bike ship to get the annual maintenance done and they wanted $450 to just clean the chain, cluster assembly, check out the tires, brakes, rim, tires and then lube back the derailed, chain, cluster assembly. The person who did this for me has moved away. He charged me $60.

So I am going to do this myself now. Just want to know if the the cheap bike chain cleaning scrubber kits are a good buy for around $20. Includes the blue chain scrubber and about 5 manual brushes. I need to buy a degreaser, no chain lube, no spray lube. I think about using engine degreaser on my bike since I have 5 cans in stock or Dawn soap I have no specific tools for bikes but have a pretty extensive auto mechanics tools and construction electric tools such as impact drivers, drills, multi-tools, saw-all, etc... I have car lube, garage door silicone spray for the direct drive chain, 3 in one oil, WD spray of all make, heavy grease, brake cleaner, all sorts of grades of engine oil for cars, lawnmovers, snowblowers, power tools. Can I use auto cleaners, general household oils and garage lubes on my bike?
