Need Advice On Stringing Machine For Raquetball

I'm looking for a string machine that works good with racquetball racquets, includuing the ones that the strings run through the handle like on E-Force, but also for tennis raquets.

I was reading about the Gamma 6900 ELS, but it seems that this machine blocks those holes at the bottom of the handle?

What machines would you recommend?

This is the worst kind of machine to get for racquetball racquets. Get one with just thin small support posts at 12 and 6 position and the 4 other supports on the sides. Any machine that looks like the Gamma 6004 for example. There is another thread here about the exact same thing and the person was sorry he got the 6900 ELS. Racquetball = no hold-down plates at 12 and 6 o'clock positions.

Collins one thing I would suggest is to get a stringer with V side supports, and not K supports if you get a 6 point machine.

Also, make sure it has a good braking system. The Head racquets with (IGS ) Internal Grommet System and the Ektelon racquets with their O3 ports for the past 4 or 5 years need a brake to pull tension properly on the crosses.

Get one that supports a head with an inner diameter longer than 15 inches. My Alpha Pioneer DC+, unfortunately, doesn't go any longer than that, and there are many racquetball racquets that are longer.

Thanks guys. Can you recommend some machines that have these features? I don't know what V & K supports are on these machines

Here is a link to the OM for the 6900 6 point machine.

That manual shows K side supports on the machine. I believe the new machines have V supports. If you look at this link you will see the side V supports.

It is the 2 point machine that blocks the bottom holes.

K supports have a horizontal flat base the racket rests on and a slanted support going up and in to supports the top of the frame. V supports are both angled to meet the frame. It does not look like a big deal but the K supports have a much higher chance of getting in the way.

Was it from this thread; if it was that's the one I read:

It could be, but I think there is another one by him, where I commented on things where a 2 mount machine would cause problems for racquetball racquets.

I really can't recommend a 6 point machine, because I never used one. I have a cheapo Gamma X-2 machine that I modified to handle any racquetball racquet. Just don't get an expensive 2 point mounting machine or you might be sorry. You might want to include your price range and other info you need in a stringing machine.

lionel_101 can you share a picture of your modified X-2?
