Need help choosing electronic stringing machine

I need help choosing the right Electronic strining machine for my purposes. Will be used for customers (approximately 20/month minimum, but will be more in the future). Budget = up to £ 2500.

So far I have found the following models:

  1. Gamma 6900 Els Sc
  2. Pros Pro Electronic V-600
  3. Tyger Stringprofi 630
The problem is that I do not have any experience with these, which brand is the best quality overall? Or should I buy another kind of machine/model?

If there are spelling errors, I apologize for that, English is not my original/native language.

Thank you in advance!

What are you using at the moment?

Pro's Pro and Tyger are for the "serious amateurs", not for professional use. Don't know Gamma (but a rotational gripper.....).

Maybe you could get hold on a second-hand Babolat. Must be possible for that budget.

Right now i don't have one.
The market for used stringing Machines in Sweden (where i'm from) is very small, almost nothing. Sometimes you could find some dropweight Machines, but never Electronic Machines.

Do you have any other solution I could try?

If the TW item is accurate, the 6900 SC has a rotational tensioner. However, it is a Gamma and they do stand behind their products, so I would not worry overly much about that.

edit: Stringway is in Europe if you prefer an automatic dropweight. Looks just as cool as the 6900 without being as bulky and their clamps are just as good. :)

With the new Babolat Modular machine coming out I would prefer to look for a used machine maybe a Star 5 or Sensor. You should be able to get one in your price range. £2500 is about $3500 US, €2500 is about $2800 US (if you meant euros) you can buy a great used Star 5 in US for $2800 (probably less.) Then there is the Alpha Ghost machine but not sure if you can buy them in Sweden.

I would prefer a good used Babolat over a Gamma and wouldn't consider the other two. To address your question though of the three you listed my vote would go to the Gamma.

EDIT: I would consider the Gamma 6004 w/Wise which has a linear gripper, and you have a manual backup in the event something happens to the Wise or power goes out.

EDIT: Another advantages of the Wise tension head is that it has a diablo in front of the linear gripper.

Agree (of course). 10 years warranty, but not electrical, but maybe even more accurate with the SW unique automatic dropweight design.

Without adding to the responses already made about recommendations; people need to know there's a difference between electric & electronic machines.

Electronic machines are inherently more expensive as they (essentially) use a computer to accurately check and adjust the pull of the tensionheads; such machines are made by Babolat, Yonex, Wilson, Prince

Electric machines are essentially a crank/spring machine that use a motor to move the tensionhead' so it will stop when the spring has reached a certain point.

So, IMO, I'd never buy a cheap electric machine as it won't give an accurate stringjob that you think it will, and it's likely to be unreliable in the long run.

For the money you mentioned, I;d go with a 2nd hand Babolat Sensor or Star 5

Is there any site you can recommend were used stringing Machines are sold?

IN the US we have strininging organizations like USRSA and IART that have classifieds that list stringing machine their members have for sale there are also auction sites and other online classifieds where people can list machines. We have a company called Tennis Machines that works on all types of machines and also buys and sells used and new machines. The list is actually endless.

I would suggest you contact @uk_skippy to see if he could give you some suggestions for Europe.

EDIT: Oops sorry I see you're already on that track. You won't regret it.

I've been nominated by @PDJ to help but I will defer to Euro-based pros with their more thorough knowledge of the stringing market on your continent.

Brands I'm familiar with from Europe in the past would include Tecnifibre (very good but expensive) and Pacific (ditto). If Gamma is being marketed over in Europe, they are much improved in the last few years but spend the extra bucks to get linear pull with a diablo (ES7900?) or go the crank style machines with the Wise head recommended by others. I used the Wise head on an Alpha crank at a pro tournament recently and was quite happy.
