Need help getting a new racquet

Hi, im 16 and ending my 2nd year of high school tennis. My current racquet is terrible, its a 115 sqin slazenger, and overall just bad. It was only 50 dollars, so as you can imagine it sucks. Money is not much of an issue with my new racquet. My skill level is around 3.5 - 4. Im 6 feet tall and in faily good shape/strong so i dont need a lite racquet or anything focused mostly on power.

Some of the racquets im looking at are the Babolat Aeropro Drive GT. Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT. Ive heard good things about the head youtek so im willing to get one of them. Im looking mostly at the AeroPro Drive GT, because TW says its for 3.5+ and its getting great reviews everywhere. Im not sure which head racquet would be the best for me. Im looking for suggestions, or people who have used these racquets to tell me what i should get. I havent demoed any yet but might demo the Aeropro Drive GT if the comments agree that it could be the racquet for me.

Thanks

Im not 100% sure what you mean, but i guess you mean where i play and stuff? I do a mix of singles and doubles, im really good at the net, but im getting better at the back of the court, and also enjoying it alot. And 1 thing i just was reading about was a lot of people liking the Cortex better than the GT, I might go with the cortex if i will like it more and save 40 dollars

As in do you like playing at the baseline, using big topspin strokes or are you more of a flat hitter etc

I would reccomend you go to some local dealer who has couple of demos and you just try them out, as I can read from your current choice of rackets ( babolat Pure, Aerodrive etc. ) I would reccomend you rackets with weight about 300g and ballance about 320 mm.

Nice choice is Voelkl PB 8 ( 295g, 320 mm ), new Yonex RDis 200 ( same specs ), Babolat Pure Drive 300g, 320mm.

I do not like AeroProDrive and it "gives" alot of tennis elbows ( know 2 friends who got them and switched ).

But still, get so me demos and chose for your self!
About strings, I use Signum Pro Tornado 1.23, great soft new generation poly, alot of power, touch and spin....

regards
B.

Im pretty sure that i want the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex. What are some good strings/tension for that? And is the GT really any better?
