Need help picking proper hybrid stings (details of how I play included)

I have been playing tennis for two years, getting lessons once a week. Over the winter, it is too cold to play outside so I only play during lessons. During spring and summer I play 3-4 times a week outside of lessons, around 2-3 hours each day. I am a 14 year old boy. My groundstrokes are about 45-60 mph, my flat first serve is about 65 mph. These stats are with a wilson kblade 98 with wilson sensation 17s which I have been using for 4 months and have been dead for about 2 months. So with dead sensations on a wilson kblade 98 I hit at those speeds listed above. I don't slice very often and I don't volley often. In a string I need power (more than most people need considering my speed of groundstrokes and serves) and enough control to balance that extra power. I need some spin probably around the avg amount a person needs. What string should I get at mains and what string should I get for crosses and at what tension? Yes, I am thinking about getting a hybrid but if I shouldn't please advise here what to get. My budget is about 25 dollars (not including tax and shipping) for both strings together.

umm, best combo imo would be a poly. or if you need more power multi poly hybrid.
i suggest Pro supex maxim touch and pro supex big ace.
mt is a multi, ba is a poly.
change the mains and crosses to your liking.
tension is to your preference.

Sounds like you're looking or power first. Why would you want a poly?

Also, you say the string has been dead for 2 months? How often do you restring?

what would you recommend to be in the mains and what in the crosses? And what gauge should I use?

Where can I find both of these strings? I live in america. Tenniswarehouse doesnt have any string by pro supex and tenn.isexpress only have the big ace. golf.smith doesn't have anything by pro supex. Would the luxilon big banger power alu rough be ok for me? It's kind of expensive so would it be ok to put in mains and crosses? If not, is there any other cheap string I can use with it?

Disclaimer: I've never had poly's

However, don't think they rank up their as far as tension maintenace goes.

Sounds to me that your biggest problem is using strings past the deadzone. Gut has the best tension maintenance and would probably be a good choice except (and big except) the season and the price.

I'd still recommend going away from polys and look for an inexpensive multi that has good tension maintenance. I personally like Technifiber X1 biphase. I got short use out of sensation when I tried it.

Thanks for the input. I have decided to go with luxilon big banger alu power rough in the mains and prince synthetic gut duraflex in the crosses. Can anyone suggest the tensions of each for me? Generally, do the mains have the same, more than, or less than the tension of the crosses? Also, I know this may sound stupid, but because I oredered 1 set of each string, does that mean that these strings will last me for the next time I need to get my racket restrung? I figured half the pack would be used on each?

yeah you'll get 2 hybrid set worths from that. thats a good combo, and i would recommend putting Luxilon on the mains because prince synth gut doesn't have much of a feel IMO. string at like 56 58, or 58 60. if these strings are not towards your liking, you could try TF X-1 Biphase, which is probably the best multi on the market and is better or equal to most gut. you'll get massive power from that. another cheaper main string for X-1 would be Kirschbaum Proline 2, MSV hex and SPPP. those all compare to Luxilon, and by some are favored OVER Luxion + they will be easier on your arm. you can fit your budget with all of those strings if they are combined with X-1. also if you try X-1, make sure to try it on the main string atleast once. you will get great feel and power from that, and will still maintain control from the poly cross string.

hope this helped

forgot something

most people put there mains 2-3 lower than the crosses to have a uniform string bed. try whatever you like, 2-3 higher than the crosses is not insane either.

u mean 2-3lbs lower tension? also, what does SPPP stand for, Ive seen it a lot. BTW, the main reason I went with these strings is because there in a store close to my house so I don't have to pay for shipping, the strings get shipped to the store for free. Otherwise, I was considering the topspin cyber flash 1.25 in the mains and forten sweet in the crosses. I think I'm going to go with 54lbs of tension on the lux and 56 on the psgd. Is that good? With the wilson sensations (there gauge was 16, not 17 I made a mistake) I had it strung at 57 lbs of tension and I think that 56 wouldve been perfect but 57 was still pretty good. Based on that, what tensions should I place?
