Hi, I was thinking of buying tickets for September 1st. Since it is the round of 16, will there be mens/womens singles play on grandstand?

Just wondering because if I buy tickets I would stay at the grandstand and want to make sure it is not junior/senior/doubles.

Thanks a lot!

Round of 16? That is still a lot of main draw matches so yeah most likely there will still be play on the grandstand.

Here's my question I posted in another subforum:

How do you get tix for Louis Armstrong night matches? I don't see them for sale anywhere. What ticket do I buy to see matches at night on this court?

Unless it rains, there will be no mens/womens singles matches on the Grandstand on Sept 1.

There will be only 4 mens matches & 4 womens matches total that day(& 1 mens, 1 womens match at night, so that only leaves 6 matches for the 2 main courts during the day)

there will be doubles on the grandstand that day.

Poke around the achive on usopen.org and you can see what happened on Labor Day last year-

All 4 men's eighth final matches were on Ashe or Armstrong;
All 4 women's eighth final matches were on Ashe or Armstrong;

Grandstand had all doubles; mostly mixed but 1 women's doubles and the Bryans losing in men's doubles.

You have to remember all this can change if rain pushes the schedule back.

To OP, regular tickets (with an assigned Ashe seat or a grounds pass) will let you into Louis Armstrong to sit anywhere. Some tickets (courtside and Reserved Loge) give you an assigned seat in Armstrong also.
