Need Help!

Hi there!

I use a K90 and my style of play is baseline basher. I use Gamma TNT2 Fusion for my strings and recently have been having shoulder soreness and pain. Could someone please recommend which one of these strings and what tension would be best to help sooth out my shoulder pain?

* Gamma Professional 17, $26 Installed

* Prince Problend w/ Duraflex (Kevlar),

So to help ease my shoulder pain, what tension would I go for with the excel?

I think going from a Kevlar/Multi setup to a straight Multi is going to present a huge learning curve but will certainly be easiest on your shoulder. If you are willing to work through the learning curve the 17g Gamma Professional is a really nice string that will be significantly easier on your shoulder and at $26.00 installed it's a screaming bargain! The string alone costs $20.00! If you want something at least reasonably close to your original string I'd go for the Babolat Hybrid Excel + Pro Hurricane Tour 17 and string the Hurricane 10% looser than your current Kevlar. Although quite stiff, the Hurricane is not quite as stiff as the Gamma Kevlar and when strung 10% looser it should give your shoulder some relief. Good luck.

Please say, then, what your current tension is--what you/your shoulder is used to, and brought this on... The standard in your case, you see, is to drop tension five lbs. But since you are switching string materials too, and the difference is quite signficant, we should know that first.
