Need new strings, confused about what tension

I have been currently using a Prince 03 hybrid spectrum for the past 3 months and its time for new strings. (this is my first real racquet) I find it a problem that my racquet has too much power and i would like to know what is a good string tension, and a set of strings, that would give me more spin, and less power. I find that even with spin my shots still go out or are very close to the baseline most of the time. I would like to take fuller swings to improve my strokes, and i think that the correct strings and tension would help me improve that. I am not ready to buy a new racquet yet, i just want less power! :(

just go with 16 gauge. u really cant go wrong with it and probably wont even notice a difference between them.

For what i want (control) would a set of Luxilon Big Banger Original's do well for me?

NO! DO NOT BUY LUXILON STRINGS! if you are a beginner, luxilon or polys are the worst thing for u. It will be very stiff on your arm, and it dies very fast. Unless you want to string every two weeks, DO NOT BUY LUXILON STRINGS AS A BEGINNER. Buy an average synthetic gut like Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex, or try something softer like HEAD Fibergel control. Both are very standard choices, and you can't go wrong with it. If you want less power, then try stringing maybe 2-4 lbs tension above mid-tension, which is the mid-tension between the two extremes on the racquet.

Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex @ 60 lbs. that's all you need.

don't try the luxilon. you're not ready for it yet.

for $4 though, u cant go wrong with psgd.

however, i do prefer gosen og sheep micro, and its $.20 cheaper. i think its a better than than prince synthetic, but psgd tends to be more popular, so i usually suggest that to other people.
